That is the least surprising thing i've read this week.
Yeah I think we're going to have to give Brad a new nickname: "Florida Man"

JR's KWP Card Con 2022 Tally-Ho is on sale at his website with all orders signed by him. Use this link to get to the site directly. The main page redirects you to the Athurian deck by mistake. You'll have to search "Tally" to find it. Right now 205 left.

Something we are super excited about is next year we are going to launch a new Fulfillment business, Kings Wild Fulfillment. We will start by offering our fulfillment services to playing card companies and designers looking for fulfillment services.

In not unrelated news, I think KWP might be doing a bit of a litmus test on the fulfilment business with LOTR decks. Swear to God I don't remember the last deck that made the trip from Chicago to Australia in 4 days.

Is there a spot on their website where a member can see what they are subscribed to? I can see past invoices and I can see upcoming invoices. I added some decks to my subscription but I do not see it anywhere. It seems like there should be a page that summarizes what I currently am subscribed to.

It shows me my upcoming orders and I guess I need to open them up and figure it out. It seems like a summary page would be nice. I ask because I want to change up my numbers. Not sure how to do it but I tried going through the subscription page and added more. I got confirmation that they are going to charge me but I don't see the numbers updated in the upcoming orders. What if I want to reduce my quantities? The current system seems very kludgy. Seems like a simple subscription page and the ability to add or remove would be a nice feature. Unless I am completely missing something.

My bad I didnt consider it wouldnt show multiple subs properly. I have just one sub and it shows Standard Edition - no 13 in a box. I thought with multiple subs, each would have its own box. As far as I know that's the only subscription page they got. It is definitely not the best system. If you want to be sure your changes will stick, email them. Support should know what to do

Oh so if I click on my order, then on the subscription box, theres a quantity thing and if I click that, it shows

Also after clicking "<< subscription", it took me to this

Fathers Day Epic Bundle, $45

Image

This year, get Dad a gift he won't hate. No more stupid ties he'll never wear, or that "specialty flavored coffee" that frankly tastes like garbage. Your dad can buy his own socks and BBQ tongs. You know what your dad doesn't want? A coffee mug. What? Don't you love this man? It doesn't seem like it with the whisky-scented candle you currently have in your Amazon shopping cart. Just stop trying, and let us take care of it for you. We've created an Epic Bundle of our top decks that your dad is sure to love: Robin Hood, Arthurian, Legal Tender and our classiest Table Players deck, Volume 19. This bundle is valued at $59.

I actually wouldn’t mind a pair of those black nippers laying on top should my son be reading this

If I didn't know what nippers were, that would be a somewhat disturbing sentence.

Everyone needs a pair of nippers if they don’t have a pair already. Some people have three or more nippers, or so I hear.

Some info from Discord... Plans for more low-run versions of decks with handmade tucks made from uncut sheets? Yes! How many Excelsior decks have been designed? Six! How is the Cowpoke Rawhide edition coming along? Slowly, there have been problems with the stickers

Idk, those uncut sheet tucks look so unappealing to me and make me wonder if the decks would have any interest if it wasn't for artificial rarity.

Almost forgot (ok, forgot) about the rawhide with stickers version - I wonder if the 13 club deck from last year is nearing…

I bought a BEOWULF playing card about 8 months ago. The bottom of the tuck does not say "manufactured by the expert playing card co." and I assume it was changed to a mysterious Chinese printer when it was re-released.
(handling is as bad as mistborn).

Does anyone know what other cards have been changed from EPCC to another printer like BEOWULF? Also, is there any information on the Kings Wild Project website or at the time of sale that would let us know that this is a different version(Non-EPCC printers)?

I haven’t seen any mention of any printer on their website but it has been discussed quite a bit - haven’t paid too much attention but I thought he was switching all printing he could to some company in Florida…. Mr. Card or some such - haven’t had my coffee yet…

There have definately been a few decks from several makers that ended up suffering from a new printer, new paper or new embellishment - I have a decent selection of them - it is unfortunate growing pain which I think could be avoided to some extent, but I prefer the growth to stagnation

KW does have a good return policy at least - not that I’ve ever felt the need to use it.

Personally, I wish it was obvious on the packaging and at the point of sale, because I feel that such a different paper quality makes it feel like a different product, but I am not that unhappy with the printer switching. the MISTBORN deck did not fan well, but the LEGAL TENDER (BRITISH STERLING) spreads with no problem. Still hard to do Faro shuffles though...
I would like to buy LEGAL TENDER V2, ROBIN HOOD, ARTHURIAN, etc. again if they are re-released with new printers, but I don't know how to find out.
I had no idea about BEOWULF until I bought it.

I am aware that I am(We are?) a niche enthusiast, so I just want to know for my own purchase, not a request to change the name of the product to fit it or anything like that. :)

All of his current printing is being done with a printer in China that has so far been unnamed. He had used Mr Playing Card for a couple decks last year, but hasn't since. Unless it's backstock ( of which I think only some of the older Table Players are left), just assume that everything you buy will be made by the PRC printer.

There's a Kings Wild master deck list linked at the bottom of their site, and the KWP Discord is also helpful for specific questions

Thanks, the Kings Wild master deck list shows BEOWULF as a 2020 release made by EPCC as Available and linked to the current sales page, so I'm assuming that if it's re-released, it's just replacing the past listing.

ARTHURIAN is selling at a lower price than before after being out of stock for a while, so maybe it's a new product. But I thought about that and the ROBIN HOOD I bought last year was made by EPCC.

I'll buy one when I can afford it.

I don't know if this thread is appropriate, but here's how I use my KWP cards

The EPCC foils are bowed, so I bend them in the opposite direction and then put them away, front to back, alternating sides. I feel that the bending is less than if I put them away normally.

BEOWULF V2 fans are terrible.
IMG_20230710_035011.jpg
It gets somewhat better with fanning powder. But other cards with bad fanning spread more evenly when I put powder on them. It's a pretty tough.

I remember he named them once in a livestream, but they had a Chinese name and I couldn't find anything about them online. Can't remember the name either. It's a shame the USPCC bridge has been burned for the Vintage Reimagined decks.
