I've never been into Egyptian mythology but I am really blown away by how good this deck looks, am definitely in for a few! Those Osiris card backs are phenomenal!!

The suit indicator you can make it anything you want, but the suit index needs to be in this case at least 51% red or %51 black. It looks to be more gold than anything else. In the hole, the rank and suit needs to be easily and quickly identified. Solid red would be better in this case...

On this project, the accomplished and very talented Mr Minty is working with The Expert Playing Card Company.
This exciting campaign has High Anticipations of the Awesome kind, but awesome doesn't convey tribute enough ....
Wonderfull and Marvellous, these cards are going to be A Total Treasure !
O, I beg of you your comprehensions,
yet laugh at your contempts ....
my only competition is with myselves.
But Lèse-majesté, especially >Normans, natch.
Is jarnstill the Ars of the Hors Nebulous ?
Neigh .... the Effluxor of the Omniverse ??
So these guys will be launching a short project with new signature series decks that will be very limited, new tucks, and gold gilding. Only $100 each or $175 for a set. I find this very overpriced especially considering the current economic situations and exchange rates. Haven't seen one comment from anyone saying they are backing them, everyone seems to be passing so far. He's already made over $90K, and apparently it isn't enough.
This guy is a little crazy! $100 for a deck??
Way too expensive, but then you have Jackson's Legacy Edition going for $125... Either way that too much!
It would be nice if Steve would comment on the gilding. Seems as though he wants to avoid the question as weather its faux gold paint or 23K gold foil.
If it's faux gold, $100 is over priced for sure. I mean you can get Uusi 23k gilded deck for $100 that are hand gilded and worth every penny. I guess these creators now-a-days think they can charge whatever they want.
What's truly sad is people will pay the $175 for the 2 deck signature decks.
I'm not sure I understand what is so sad about it. If you like a piece of art and are okay with the price, you buy it. If you don't or aren't, you don't. I love Steve's work, and while I will be sitting the signature edition out, I hope he is able to sell them all. He's good at what he does, and I'd like to see him continue to do it. But artists, like the rest of us, do occasionally have to pay their rent/mortgage and grocery bills. What's so bad about them getting paid for their work, if the market will support it?

I guess it's like Android people are always sad seeing iFans buy iProducts.
I really like the Anubis and Osiris deck and i had gone in for a brick to get that nice brick box. But when I saw what was coming in that limited set, I backed out of the brick knowing it would be very expensive. I am definitively getting a set and i couldn't care less about what anyone thinks or says. I saw victor's comment on the other thread and same ol whining about expensive stuff. No one is forced into buying one. And if you think it is sad that someone is buying it, then by all means cry me a river.
I am definitely going to pick a pair up, I think they look great and to me are worth the price. And I definitely don't expect everyone to share that perspective, but I wouldn't call them cheap.
