The first one looks perfect, but the second has a much whiter background and REALLY changes the feeling of the card from an ancient one to a modern interpretation. Please tell me you are still going to have the darker aged look for the background like the first image, at least in the standard deck! I know some of these are early sketches, but I just need a confirmation. If it's a lighting difference then I would encourage you to go even darker and more aged on the background and overall tone.
Otherwise, looking good!
Also, did you mention or decide yet how many deck variations there will be? For the record I get really annoyed when more than 1 or 2 editions come out, but if they sell I can't fault you (I will still just have to be selective).
Hi!
Those pictures are a mix of photoshop, instagram, facebook and a screenshot (the cold one, superwhite queen of spades). I will not use textures, the white of the card will be the background. Using a very pale color in CMYK does not work very well unfortunately. But I will look into that..
Usually the warm light will depend by the type of light hitting the card.
I dont know how many versions I make, I guess 2 colors as always.... I did not plan anything yet, just working on the courts
