My uncut left Austin,TX December 3 and that's all. Guess I'll message Jackson if nothing has changed by the 17th.

Mine have shown up in the UK - I would imagine they are imminent everywhere.

Almost felt like sacrilege to open a silver edition... but I couldn;t help it. :D

I couldn't resist opening one of my gilded decks either, though it was one of the error decks.

Though they're the same deck with different tucks, would the error decks resell for same price or more than the actual green tucks?

FINALLY!!
Silver Edition
Silver Edition
Just wanted to point out that this decks has a decent white border on the back, not as thin as it could be, but way better than the Scarlett which has a gigantic white border, way more thicker that what was advertised on KS at the time... Either way those are two great decks.

This is from Jackson's December 31 Update:

"If you have been trying to contact me over the past few weeks and have been frustrated with my response time it is for a very simple reason. My youngest daughter Hannah passed away two weeks ago and I have been focusing all of my attention and efforts on taking care of my very special family."

It's shocking to hear this kind of news, especially during the holiday season. We're not that big of a community, and despite our occasional differences, I'd like to think we are fairly close knit as a group. When one of us goes through something like this, I think even the smallest gestures can add up and be a big help to get though such difficult times. I would like to encourage everyone here at UC to keep Jackson and the whole Robinson family in your thoughts.

For those who don't know... Via Jackson's FB

"I wanted to share with you guys some personal news about our 3rd Child Hannah. I'm just reposting what my sweet wife wrote as she can verbalize this stuff much better....

Update on Baby Robinson

It’s a girl. Her name is Hannah. “For this child I have prayed…” I Sam. 1:27

Over the past couple of weeks, we have been processing a diagnosis that we weren’t expecting. I was sent to a fetal specialist to help manage my blood pressure which had been an issue with my other pregnancies. While there, they did an intensive ultrasound and had some significant red flags with the baby and recommended that we do a blood test for genetic issues. We waited several days for the test results, then met with our specialist as she explained the results.

Our blood test came back with a 99% reading for trisomy 18. Trisomy 18 is a genetic condition where the 18th chromosome has an extra chromosome attached to the pair. Our specialist told us that this is a lethal genetic disorder. Most babies that have trisomy 18 pass away in the womb during the 2nd or 3rd trimester. A smaller percentage go to delivery but die during the birthing process. And an even smaller number are born alive and live anywhere from a few minutes to a few days, depending on their complications. Today I am 16 weeks in my 2nd trimester.

Based on our test results and the continued findings on our ultrasounds, we believe that at this point this diagnosis is true. 99% is the highest reading that this particular test can return. A riskier test can be administered to reach a 100% result but we have opted out of that because even a 100% result wouldn’t change how we will proceed with the pregnancy.

What happens from here?
With a lot of prayer and support, we just take it one day at a time. I will see my specialist and my regular doctor every two weeks to check on Baby Hannah’s status. We don’t know what each day holds, or how long we will be blessed to have Hannah’s little beating heart a part of our family. She may never see the light of this world and be ushered straight into the arms of Jesus. We are also preparing mentally and spiritually for the possibility of going through the birthing process but in all probability not bringing Hannah home from the hospital. We just don’t know at this point.

The Big Sisters…
We have explained to Claire and Scarlett that Hannah is very sick and sometimes babies are so sick that there isn’t medicine here on this earth to make them better. Sometimes the only way that a baby can get better is to go to heaven and be with Jesus. Scarlett is too little to understand what is happening. She brings me toys and lays them on my tummy and says that they are for Hannah. Claire is trying to understand but she struggles some days, especially when mommy and daddy are having a hard day.

Praying
Our family is asking you to pray for a miracle. When I saw the test results with a 99% positive result, my first thought was that I am loved by a God who works miracles in the 1% places in life. There are days when I cling to that 1% and the Great Physician. But our family might need a different miracle. A miracle of healed hearts in the event that Hannah does pass away.

Everyday I am learning and reminding myself that God loves me and that He is good and that there isn’t a bit of this circumstance that is happening because He loves me less or that He is any less good. He is the giver and taker of life and His ways are not mine. And that God loves Hannah and that he knitted her together and he numbered her cells and the hairs on her head and the number of her days.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed each day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 1 Corinthians 4:16-17"

Please keep them in your thoughts

It's hard to feel like there is anything significant that can be said to offer condolences in a situation like this, and especially coming from, basically, a complete stranger, or even more removed, essentially a customer. But my best wishes, love and support go out to Jackson's family through what I can only imagine is one of the most difficult times for them.

It's wonderful to see that there is so much support in the community despite the differences like Sinjin7 said.
Jackson completely revolutionized the way I waste money...

I feel the same way. I don't *know* them personally, but I am still horrified for them. How truly awful. If I could reach through my screen and hug them, I would. However little comfort that may be for them, I know the community all feels for them.

As others have said, I do not know Jackson or his family personally but I feel as close as anyone can to folks I've never met. When I read the e-mail I was dumbstruck for awhile as I struggled to process what I was reading.

Jackson;
You have touched many lives the world over through your art. Even though there are no words to heal such a bitter loss, I hope you find some comfort in knowing you and your family are in all of those peoples thoughts and prayers. If I could return some of the joy your art has given me and my family to you and yours I would surely give it.
If it's too loud.... you're too old!

Reading that update this morning was definitely heart breaking, I could only imagine the heartache involved in such a situation.

Having "lost" my little brother and one sister over the past couple of years - there's nothing you can do or say. This just knocked the winds out of my sails, I can't imagine what it did to my parents. It's baffling how much if hurts Donna and I, for them it must be a daily chore. You're not supposed to live long enough to bury a child, much less children.

God bless, and better times are yet to come.
