Never Forgotten by Robert Wright & Randy Butterfield
I unveiled my new deck a few hours ago at the 52+ Joker convention. Randy Butterfield did an awesome job of illustrating this deck for me. The decks will go on sale Monday at 10am Eastern. All the information is available in the story Anthony did for Kardify.

A see a gorgeous box a nice back design (borders look a bit thick) a good AoS and nice Jokers, I assume the rest is just standard, maybe recolored to the color theme of the deck?

Might be the case, the author of the deck said on the kardify article that the courts would be colored based on the different kinds of ribbons for cancer awareness. You can see "Brain" and "Colo[n]" next to King of Spades on left card of the diptych, so, brain and colon cancer... That's correct. The courts are standard- just re-colored to match the different ribbon colors. On the "Angel" Jokers there is a list of corresponding cancers to courts.soryunjin wrote:Might be the case, the author of the deck said on the kardify article that the courts would be colored based on the different kinds of ribbons for cancer awareness. Cool, I'm a sucker for any kind of purple on decks. Plus, I like the theme as it hits close to home, so... yeah.

Rob Wright - Interesting deck. I'm glad you made it. You are all grown up now. I secretly wanted that deck you bought last year. YOu bastard.

I know that, but they're recolored, so I would like to see how the recolored worked out...volantangel wrote:Its standard, when they dont show, its just standard. 100%sms69x wrote:From all the items there for sale, not even a single shoot of the court cards.... Re: Never Forgotten by Robert Wright & Randy Butterfield
I'm working on it. I litteraly pcked the cards up from the inland port 6 hours before leaving for the 52+ Joker convention, and got back about 2am this morning. I sent Anthony a couple decks, and he was nice enough to shoot a couple pics just so I could get it launched.sms69x wrote:I know that, but they're recolored, so I would like to see how the recolored worked out...volantangel wrote:Its standard, when they dont show, its just standard. 100%sms69x wrote:From all the items there for sale, not even a single shoot of the court cards.... Re: Never Forgotten by Robert Wright & Randy Butterfield
Ordered two decks and a coin and they just arrived. Amazing stuff. The coin is gorgeous and the cards, by EPCC, are awesome. I really like the recolors of the standard courts. It's hard to see in the above picture but all the pips have a faint ribbon inside, which I think is a nice touch. The colors are really vibrant and look much better in person. My wife loves them. She lost her father to leukemia when she was 14 and is a cancer survivor herself (colon and ovarian). She volunteers at the Oncology department at a local hospital and is going to take them in for everybody to see. She also plans to check and see if the gift shop wants to carry them. I may end up reodering a brick so I cab give some away. Rob and Randy did a great job creating a deck that honors the memory of those we have lost without being overly sentimental. It's a great looking deck of cards that also carries a lot of meaning. Well done, guys.

I'm glad you and your wife like the design flashcards!
Some of the things I learned while researching for the Deck makeup the small details in the design. For instance, the Upside Down Ribbon (seen in the Heart and Diamond PIPS) is meant to encourage people to look at Cancer research from a different perspective.
I also learned that a lot of Cancer survivors, patients, and those who lost loved ones to the disease get Cancer Ribbon "Butterfly" tattoos to show their support for the fight (http://slodive.com/inspiration/cancer-ribbon-tattoos/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).p
The hero design element for the Never Forgotten Deck is my version of a Cancer Ribbon Butterfly.
I'm proud to have worked on this design with Rob!
Thanks, Randy
