Sorry for the screen cap. If I were on my computer instead of phone, I would have included the source picture instead of a screen capture.

Jean-Charles Desevre designed the Medallions deck for Theory11. Been looking forward to a new deck design from him.
Yes, I might be the guy you remember from that thing at that place way back when.

If this deck of cards has standard faces like the Medallions and the other decks from Derek McKee that will be sadly disappointing.

Honestly it's a little underwhelming. The drawing is beautiful but I feel like the ace should be more elaborate. Or at least not contain the same graphic as the back design.

To each their own, I'm all about this. Gotta get bricks of these for sure. Very classic and dark look.

Just in time for Hollow Weenie. Not bad so far but the courts are the deciding factor for me. :)
Where do you get them?

The Ace of Spades, the most iconic playing card in the deck, should not contain the most iconic imagery of the Sleepy Hollow story? Hmm...I appreciate the thought. Too late now.

That's not what I'm saying. I'll repeat: I think the back of card graphic and AoS graphic should be different. It's often not the same if ever. I also want to clarify that I think the back is great and I guess I got my hopes up expecting the AoS to WOW me but it didn't. It's still a nice classic look and I will certainly still be buying this, just not what I expected from the AoS. I am excited to see the rest of the deck.

I hear you for sure, and I certainly appreciate what you're saying. We wanted the deck to be custom, but that is a very expensive word when creating a deck of cards from scratch. Certainly with an unlimited budget we could do anything...I don't think many card collectors know how much just the art that goes into each deck they hold in their hands actually costs. I've learned through all the decks I've produced...and because I use top level artists who know their way around playing card design...I know just how many thousands of dollars are spent on concept, research, design, sketches and ultimately final artwork before the public has even seen a glimpse.

Derek and I are very very happy with the outcome of this deck and what we were able to achieve without the support of a crowd funding campaign. It's a good first step in the direction of self produced decks and we're excited to get them in your hands in October when we begin shipping out orders.

Well, look at that the Ace has a border. Usually, only courts have borders. Waiting to see more... His AoS is embellished. Question is : Is his other Aces embellished as well?

Eoghann had already asked this, but I didn't see an answer yet - where will these be available? PureImaginationProjects, Whispering Imps website, etc.

Any chance they'll be traditionally cut? (Or that they could run a dozen sheets through the cutter that way?)

I should've known you had a hand in these, Chris. ;)

I'll second the question by hikeeba above. Traditionally cut would be a plus if possible.

Nice Ace!

Courts have a bit more white space than I'd normally prefer... seems to minimize what otherwise looks like some really fine art.

Are these EPCC or USPCC?

The indices are in a corner badge and surrounded by a border. Not a very playable deck. Look how far the indies are in. OH, his courts are one-sided. This is an art deck...

Custom, yes, but repeating. Every Jack is the same, every Queen is the same, every King is the same. So still sadly disappointing.

That's terribly disappointing. Luckily I didn't get in because of the tiny courts.

Thanks for this, I just added these to my wishlist, but if they are repeating then I think I'll pass.

@see_squared, perhaps instead of getting insulted and being all passive aggressive to potential future buyers you can consider this a lesson learned in what people really want. It's a nice deck and great theme, but it could have been more than that. I do hope future ones will take those of us that prefer these changes into account.

EDIT - there is a deck design section here, you can always bring your new ideas here and ask for input. I think you'll find it makes a better product in the end this way, but you are right you can't keep everybody happy. At least you'll get some early insight though instead of after it's too late.
