The only things I like are the Jokers. The tuck sucks.

I LOVE these!! ...with a few exceptions- most noticeably is the tuck. How on earth can you have such fun, vibrant, colorful cards hidden away in that disgusting tuck?? Jazz it up for Christ sake! I also like the jokers but a reveal might be nice? Lastly I'm not a huge fan of the pips but they're doable. I really REALLY want to pledge but that tuck is keeping me from it.

I'm in! Fun and well thought out deck. But that tuck could use a little pizzazz even if it were a little subtle.

Thank you all so much for your honesty and constructive criticism!
The plan for the box was to keep simple, however, I do agree with what a lot of you are saying.
So the new box is being worked on as we speak. I should have it uploaded as soon as possible.
Design takes more time then I would like.
Thank you all who have pledge and to those who didn't but gave their honest opinion.

Jesus candles as a "Fluff" item. I've seen it all. I can kill myself now!
JayLosa - Welcome. It looks like your KoD, QoD, and JoH go together color wise. What is that a modern wrestler in a old time theme? Wow! Color is important to distinguish the suit at a distance since you don't have a suit indictor.
"A suit indicator is the big pip that traditionally is put on court cards, which is separate from the indices. The indices are in the corner and have the value and a pip, while the suit indicator is a separate bigger pip usually located on either side of the court's head. Its function is to make the suit more distinguishable from a distance." MF

Secondly, great observation, passed right by me. Will consider making a few minor changes.

Great news!! Yesterday we reached 52% of our goal. That's more than half in only 7 days !!
We only have 48% left and we will make this deck a reality.
If you can share this project with friends as well, please do so.
Lastly, If you have any suggestions to making this campaign successful, please feel free to contact me.
As always, thank you so much for your generous support

I would reach out to people who have successfully created similar Latin American themed decks (the Edgy Bros. come to mind) and ask them to promote! Promote! Promote!JayLosa wrote: Lastly, If you have any suggestions to making this campaign successful, please feel free to contact me.

JayLosa - If you gave the "J" in joker a black image in the indices near the split piñata toyand put a mirror indices image on the bottom not the piñata. Basically, the player would know if he or she had black or red Joker in their hand.

I like most of this deck, but the back totally ruins it for me. Horizontal lines has just never worked as a back design IMO.

Thank you all for your tips! I have taken a lot into consideration and will be making some changes ASAP. We have 2 days to go and only 14% to go. If this project doesn't make it I will be making changes and possibly relaunching in the future.

I don't understand what you mean. Could you be more specific ?sprouts1115 wrote:JayLosa - If you gave the "J" in joker a black image in the indices near the split piñata toyand put a mirror indices image on the bottom not the piñata. Russel means: add a J on the corners of the jokers, as in courts. On one jocker it should be red, on the other black. I don't know much about it, but there seems to be some games where knowing which joker you have is relevant, as one is "superior" to the other.
Is this correct?

Re: ¡ VIVA MEXICO ! Playing Cards now live on KS
Yea you got it right on. Basically, you have to think as the "J" in Joker is the same as the "J" in Jack. It's up to you to make the difference. Most ppl make the font different between the Jack and the Joker. Yes the Red Joker needs to be superior to the Black Jokers. It's that simple. The Joker is a special card "1-sided" court card. You can go wild, but some ppl don't know the rules...jsantafe wrote:Russel means: add a J on the corners of the jokers, as in courts. On one jocker it should be red, on the other black. Re: ¡ VIVA MEXICO ! Playing Cards now live on KS (wap)
As many of you know, Viva Mexico was fully funded. I'm getting ready to wire the money to legends and begin the printing process. Thank you all for your tips and support. I may print a prototype with MPC to show you all the changes that were made thanks to this forum! See you soon
