New Beginning

I was legally tight lipped for the last 10 days but luckily by the Grace of God my court hearing went my way. I still won't say much out of fear but I wanted everyone to know that I'm no longer associated with the Tomlinson Playing Card Co.
I had a situation like when Charles Mintz stole Oswald the Rabbit from Walt Disney but in my case it's on a little more personal level.
My business partner had the LLC in her name and all the bank accounts too. On top of that they (she and her new boyfriend) sold off our inventory at rock bottom prices to make a quick buck.
I'm currently working on a ton of local decks so I'm creating a New company. Any name suggestions would be appreciated?
My original plan was to stop using Kickstarter but in light of losing years of work, inventory and money I'm going to have no choice but to start from scratch.
Anyone who ordered decks within the last 10 days... I'm assuming you should get them but like I said.. I'm no longer associated with that business.

Cautionary tale for business partners and wives. Right now, I'm think South Mountain Playing Cards or South Mountain Supply. The mountain behind our house is called South Mountain but we also are near Barclay Mountain which 100 years ago was a thriving coal and lumber town... But is now 100% gone except for a large cemetery in the middle of the woods.

I was thinking it should be based on the decks you've created. I was thinking Unrest Playing Cards(not sure if you could use that) or Rest in Peace playing cards. Something that defines what you've done as a creator, which is mainly past historical decks.

Thanks for the support. I wonder if King playing cards is available as a name. My hometown is LeRoy... Which spelled slightly different (Le Roi) in French means the king.

Indeed. I'm sure that I am not the only one that would have nothing to do with anything the "new" Tomlinson Playing cards put out. You can put me in the long list of folks who'll support your new endeavors.

I'll also agree with whomever commented that there are already too many card companies with King in their names. Your art is unique to you and your company name should be as well.

Sorry to hear about what happened. At the very least they won't be able to touch anything you'll be producing from now on.

Regarding your company name, a twist on the concepts 'royal' (roy), and 'civil unrest' would be interesting, in that Bastille-esque way. 'Roy' actually reminded me of Roycroft, an old Arts and Crafts Movement press.

Thanks for all the support and kind words. It's been a couple rough weeks. But in the end, I think things will turn out for the best. I can easily change the name. The hard part is finding a good one.
I've been slowly getting back to work on some local decks I'm doing and I'm kicking around possible ideas for the Marital Unrest deck. I just got the sample Swarm decks from WJ Printing. I'm hoping to find a retail market here in the US for them.
