Indictus KS

Unread post by jerichoholic »

Didn't see this posted yet, surprisingly. This is the new deck from Nicolai Aaroe and looks really nice. 2 different decks, apparently being printed by NPCC. I seriously hope there is a stretch goal for LPCC or EPCC.

"Indictus [unspeakable] is the first volume in a planned series of deluxe dark art poker playing card decks. A sophisticated and highly thematic deck that take inspiration from the tragedy of Macbeth by William Shakespeare, The Tudors and the history of human ethics."

The King of Clubs looks familiar, but I can't quite place it. Does anybody else have the same sense of deja vu with that one?

Well it has been available as stock art, along with the other courts, for quite a while. Possibly you saw on pintrest or some other feed?

For the record, this credit is indirectly listed in the KS project:
The illustrations are drawn in hand by Marksbart, but modified and converted to appropriate line art by me, so I can’t take full credit for these. What I can do, though, is relay all positive comments to him and pay him for his talent - which I already did!

I backed out of multiple projects before because I didn't recognize the printer. I'll probably cancel my pledge for this too if LPCC doesn't become the printer.

I don't know the quality of NPCC, and until they have a staple deck for cheap I can sample, not going to find out.

Almost there!!
Nicolai Aarøe wrote:In other words i am happy to announce that the Indictus decks are now fully approved and I’ve made the arrangements with NPCC to ship the decks to me. I will be receiving the full production including decks, coins, uncut sheets and backer certificates very soon, leaving a fulfilment in February fully plausible. I can’t wait to share Indictus with you!
Very well done! Seems that "not so known" creators are doing a great job! I'm very happy for being a backer for this project!

NPCC's done a good job with Branle, the quality on Indictus looks even better!
