Just received an email from Bicycle, apparently these (crimson, blue & limited ed. gold) are up for pre-order and shipping begins next Monday the 27th.

Sort of disappointed at the prices, however. Cobalt (blue) and Crimson (red) are $20/ea and the gold limited edition are $30

Also, the email I received said "Don't forget to add your Club 808 t-shirt!" Which, of course, I can't find in that mess of a website they have going on over there right now. Could only find the Amber Stag club 808 shirt.

I just reached out to USPCC.

They printed 1000 of the gold decks. They have a gold non-numbered seal that says limited edition.


They printed 10,000 of each of the other colors. They have a seal that says 1st print.

I figured these guys would cost this much based on how much the prototypes were. USPCC is smart selling them at this price- people will buy them. I'm still on the fence...

I figured that since the original "prototypes" were $20 each that these would be a bit less, guess I was wrong. 10,000 decks and they are charging $20 each! I can understand the price of the gold since it is limited, but the other 2?

I wouldn't have been able to find the MetalLuxe decks, let alone t-shirt, if they hadn't put direct links in the email. Their new site blows in the usability department.

Also, I wonder why there is no green MetalLuxe deck. There was a green prototype.

There was also a silver prototype. The silver was hard to discern the pattern, so I guess they scrapped green and silver and went with gold. Though I liked the green.

This would've been a no for me even at $10, so I guess these are two double-no's and one triple-no. USPCC have the financial power to produce a boatload of these, and the reach to have them sold all over the US, so they could've just as easily made these a lot less expensive.

I was wondering the same thing. The only prototype I ended up picking up was the green one along with one of the Espionage decks. I liked the green better than all the others.

Yep, glad I ended up with a green & silver prototypes.

I did same as you, only gold & new (free) t-shirt. Prices are insane for a deck they made 10,000 of, and crazy but not too unreasonable for the gold - 1000 decks printed.

I just checked mine today (08/09/15) and it is still listed as "backordered" and I ordered mine on 07/21.

I ordered one deck and the t-shirt. Surprised it has taken this long.

Yep, mine are still sitting in purgatory waiting to be shipped. Very surprising as I would have thought they'd be practically done by the time they went up for order. Maybe USPCC ran out of paper.
