Well joe that works if the two conversion rates are the same, but it's never the same, while there is no outright fee for currency conversion, it's built into the conversion rate. Don't think the currencies changed more than 5% in a weeks time.

I've actually had it work the other way (in my favor) for me when I refunded an ebay purchase. There was a few weeks between the purchase and the refund though. Payment medium was paypal.

That's the only thing missing from the Kings Wild Funded platform: email notifications.

Surely not a single person is thinking anything bad, especially with Jackson and his good reputation. But it's always reassuring to hear everything is going well from time to time.

Perfectly agree about the need for more robust email notification with the Crowdtilt platform. On the other hand Brendan has sent out update emails to the HIVE 2 backerlist but I'm sure they were misplaced and or junked.

@Jackson - I don't have a problem with a hold on my credit card, but posting a warning to something that is better for you is probably good. That begs the question though. I've heard 3%-5% are bad credit cards on Kickstarter. Is that close?

Russell, reading back today, I see this wasn't answered. The 3-5% declined payments is a pretty good range - for playing cards projects, anyway. I have seen one or two as low as 2% and one up around 8-9%, but those are outside the norm.

3-5% is a good rule of thumb, and remember that when Stripe took over 1-January, the charge "discount" fee went up a little bit because of the higher fee for small pledges (mostly). It is now almost 10% between the kickstarter.com 5% and Stripe card processing fee, closers to 9.5% if you have mostly $25+ pledges. It used to be right at 9% total with Amazon Payments.

Add those together and the payout is usually between 85-87% of the funded amount. Your milage may vary, of course.

I concur with Mike numbers. With all of my past projects 3-5% is about right from bad or declined CCs

They're on their way from the printer and will be in the US soon-ish. After they are done fulfillment to the backers, I'm sure he will have plenty available on his website. And many other sellers for that matter.

Actually not really. We learned and adjusted our approach from the first Hive release and only ordered just enough decks to cover the project orders and a few extra for safety. The Hive 2 decks (even the unnumbered ones) are very limited. We won't even have that many to sell on our website much less touch of modern like last time.

This is just a small update. Shipment of the Hive 2 decks to the Kings Wild offices are going according to plan. At the moment, they're on a ship in the middle of the Pacific Ocean making their way to the Kings Wild office.

Fulfilment of the decks will start as soon as we get the decks in the middle of July.
