The Singh decks came in quick!

I got two shipments in today. First off, the beautiful Scarlet Tally Hos. Seriously aweso,e cards, very tempted to open the gilded deck, but... Must.. Resist... Temptation...

Then we have the Mauger replicants. Not as nice as the previous release from Mr. Scott, but I do love the slip case. The one thing that has me scratching my head is the colour discrepancy between heart/diamond and the clubs/spades. DK if it was meant to be a lighter shade or not but it looks more like the ink on the printer started running out and produced an orange / blue tint instead of red / black. The gilding isn't all that good either, already had one good chunk gone when I unwrapped it, but the cards are alright otherwise.

Hey Chach, those are no revoke indices. Using a different colour for each suit to keep players from confusing spades for clubs or diamonds for hearts. It's surprising the larger suit signs weren't included in the colour change as well.

If you look at the photos/images on the KS page of the Mauger project, the indices were illustrated the same way as they turned out. Like you, I was surprised by that, but when I looked at the project page, I noticed that's what they had been showing all along.

What was not the same was the slip case. The photos make it look red. In person, they are orange. And, this isn't rubine red versus warm red: this is red versus orange. It's not bad... just not what was pictured.

Still... I do like these decks. I opened up my limited (the gilded one), and just enjoyed that entire experience.

I haven't gotten my Different Decks yet, but I live in the same general area as Pierre, so hopefully mine will arrive soon!

Edit: oh, and I also received my Scarletts. And, yowsa, they are awesome.

Exactly! The British decks first came out in 1929 if memory serves me well, and used black, Blue, red & green. USPCC responded with Blue and green suits shortly thereafter.

They made enough that they are not that hard to find, but finding a deck with a good tuck (much less the inner wrap) is tough. Bridge decks with the 4-color indices are more common than poker sized...

There is a "Four Color" branded (some odd spelling variation) as well.

These have started shipping. Got mine today. As much as I wanted more variety with the space deck it's still pretty nice. But the clear winner in my opinion is the Chimero deck (white one) for the sole reason that the courts aren't repeating.

Here are my goodies for the past four weeks.

Mailman just dropped off my Uber brick from Jackson. Wow, what a deal that was! Got a Sherlock Holmes signed brick box, which is nice as I'd only gotten the black ones before. Signed with a Gold Sharpie, looks nice. The three chips I received were 2x reserve Notes and 1x Gold Cert.

In the brick:

Civil War deck set, rd & black.
2x Silver Cert Unbranded
Branded Gold Cert
Ltd Continental Deck. (Paper wrapping has a small tear, will open since I have two sealed sets already)

However, I'm pleased to have found these. I posted back in September that I had found a Hallmark Pinochle deck with unusual courts and red edging. This week I ran across the 2-deck Poker version of this design. It's call Gold Trees. The poker decks have two designs and even though they are more worn I'm happy to see that the 2nd deck has the opposite color edging. Also, since Pinochle decks don't have Jokers I had to have these guys!

Now, that's an unusual pair set. The ad card looks oddly similar to the first year (1947) Hèrmes decks by Cassandra. Sweet find!

Wow, DS! That set is gorgeous! I have a DeGrazia Hallmark set with those same courts and jokers but those backs sure are lovely! Very, VERY nice!

I have a set of Hallmarks with that same design on the faces, but they did not have the jokers and extra card.

The edges on mine are blue on one deck and olive green on the other. The backs are rough paintings called "Parisian", according to the box label.

Wonder how many different colours they used on deck edges in all?
