The auction, which is a great thing to do, aside I am not that excited about different colors on the LTD. deck. It has long been amongst my favotite decks and I do not think it should be fucked with. I think what makes the LTD so nice is its sleek red color. I do not need different color on each deck I own. Seems like these color changes are becomming more and more common. Obviously they are popular but I do not think it is necessary.

The best part of your post was that you said Smurfed with. And they are making a Blue LTD deck.
Smurfs are Blue

The new deck is blue

The red deck was color changed to be blue

It has been Smurfed with

Do you agree with me foolish one, do you think some of these color changes are lame. I must be in the minority as they obviously sell

It seems that the deck will be unlimited as per the fundraising for Wayne Houchin. What do you guys think? Good? Bad?

No Walrus
There is no Santa clause.
But yes there is always a new color variation.

Yeah I pretty much agree with you.
I can certainly understand the color variation and some decks you should expect it.
Companies should have their staple deck that they go to for variations
T11 Monarch
E Artifice
DnD smoke and mirrors

And most decks that are intended for larger release should at least have 2
But every deck doesn't need it.
The limited deck is considered a limited release it sells pretty regularly for $40 Or more, you aren't going to be seeing it at the poker table so it doesn't really need it or should even have it. ( I am sure someone will now post a picture of themselves using it to play poker with)

Sorry Evan for correcting you during the beginning of this post. Looks like there will be an "Unlimited LTD." deck.

Although, I still stand by my original thought, "Now that doesn't make much sense."

I'm hoping they doctored the photos in the auction. The deck looks sealed, but the blue joker face is shown.

The photo is not doctored. That is a sealed prototype deck. The cards are from another deck.

Are the jokers from a prototype for a different deck(or even a deck soon to be released)? Or, is the one being sold not "the only one of its kind." I'm just a bit confused.

well I doubt there would be only one proto deck, they cant sell their only deck sealed without looking at it.

Even if it's the only sealed deck left, it's a bit sketchy to call it "only one of its kind."

I pledged $150 on this deck... sure I realize it's for a good cause, but it's way too much for my wallet now...

3 hrs and 30 minutes to go... I bet this deck flies past $500.

Better read the fine print first...

MJF is right. We looked into it, but making donations tax deductible requires the establishment of a 501(c)3-type organization, and that would have taken too much time. While you and your accountant may find a way to make it tax-deductible, we wanted to be clear that our effort did not have paperwork stating such.

We chose our words carefully, and that truly is a one-of-a-kind deck. First off, there's only a handful of prototypes (I don't know exactly how many, but I'm pretty sure it's six or less) and all the rest are open. This is the only sealed LTD with this different back pattern. And because we don't exactly let prototypes get out into the public, we think it's fair to say it's one of a kind.

You are a very lucky individual. Only CBJ has another deck that's one of a kind.

Make sure you post some pics once you get it! :)
