This Saturday, April 18th at 10am Central Time we are also excited to be launching our first tarot deck on Kickstarter! Along with our tarot we wanted you to be the first to know that we will be including a Limited Edition, companion poker "BRuT" deck with this project. Unlike the oversize tarot the poker deck will not have the beautiful trumps and Cavalier cards, but it's a bonus Uusi playing card deck!! We hope to see you over on Kickstarter this weekend for a look at all the cards and to help make "BRuT" happen!

Except I'm not a full mod. That was quickly pulled as I was only supposed to have mod access to PCDB area. So I can't edit posts here, I just double checked. So there! [emoji14]

As for this project, I'll have to take a closer look at add ons later, that gilded sounds pretty neat, but I fear I won't want to spend much, plus I am running out of room! Lol

I picked up the last of the redwood tarot copper boxes. Can't believe it was still available this long after it started. Though to be honest, I may drop it later but I'm going to wait until they release pictures of it.

The copper doesn't seem as popular as the gold ones. Maybe it's because they patina over time. That's what kept me from going for the copper ones. anyway.

Not to mention its gold vs copper I mean there was never a Bond villain called Copper Finger was there? but to be honest, I like the look of copper more than gold, and if It really does develop a patina or some sort of copper oxide look over time, that's just a bonus IMO.

Interesting. Is he thrusting his hand down the lion's throat? Traditionally on the strength card one is wrestling the lion's mouth closed (or open, depending on your perspective). Looking forward to seeing how they re-interpret the rest!

Actually, there are 3 interpretations in the early strength card in the Tarot. A loin and a man about to attack a unseen enemy, a women holding a loin's mouth open and the other is a women breaking a stone pillar. It seems the second one won out in history.

Is it me or does the Death card looks like he is wearing pantyhose? I wonder if they were looking at the Marseile-Conver-1760 when they made their interpretation?

You have to remember some of these card painters were a bit sloppy. This one is a bit better. The Death card is an interesting card.

They say because it's the 13th card in the Tarot deck that is why it became an unlucky number. No 13th floor in buildings and so on.... I try not to go into the meaning of the cards. I try to just look into the history of the symbolism within the cards, but the death card is not a bad card. It basically just means there is going to be some change in your life. I do like the older versions of the death card. There are 2. One with a skeleton with a bow and the other is a skeleton riding a horse with a sickle about to chop some heads. I don't like the modern "Rider-Waite" death card. That guy changed so much of the old symbolism within the Tarot cards, but we are stuck with it and now it's accepted. Lets put a wallpaper of pomegranates behind the "The High Priestess" Yea, that's a great idea.
