Ellusionist - The last straw.
That's it, I'm done with them. I'm sick of their BS.
Their new blackclub membership package includes a Gold Arcane uncut.
There has been a few times where they said they only had a handful left.. and now any new black club member gets one.
This combined with their stupid amount of Madison products.. I just can't take them seriously at all.

I will no longer buy any Ellusionist products.

They should really start putting out those decks, 12 minimum. I think a little class action might be needed.

Yeah I am seriously considering not renewing, getting tired of all the crap and the dumb fan boys buying everything up. Too much Madison, yuck, give it a rest. They need to hire back Lee and Jason to make some more beautiful decks. I wonder how many "limited" decks they will be putting out this year?

Welcome to the club, have a seat and take a load off. You won't be missing anything that's for sure. We do have one requirement though, leave your signature Madison skin-tight jeans at home and shave or at least groom your beard.

I used to have a soft spot for E, they used to pump out quality products. Even when T11 started to cheap out on their card stock and switched to Aristocrat stock to save costs (all the while trying to B.S. us by hyping it as highest quality), E stuck to using casino-grade Bee stock. But I have to say, unless there's dramatic improvement for the rest of the year, I am also dropping my membership. I don't want hand signed crap from Madison. I thought they were heading in the right direction at the end of last year with the Prohibition set, but its just been more tired Madison decks. I have a feeling a lot of the 12 new decks will just be recolored Madison decks.

But, but, but....what about their Creative Summit in January?! They planned out the year! It's gonna be great!! (Doesn't seem it's started yet, though....)

Now the new Black Club Membership includes a Gold Artifice deck also. No mention of how many decks you can buy or for how much thereafter. I sent them an email also because I don't want to renew my membership to get the $25 price for a deck.

This is an unlikely theory but maybe, just maybe they're doing this because they didn't get as many people to join back at Christmas time as they expected. And now they're in a pickle- they have to fund the 12+ decks they promised to release this year but they're low on funds. Give a free deck/uncut sheet away and more people sign up, hence they make more money. Quite the catch 22!

Like I said, I doubt E is hurting that badly for money but something to consider...

I was on the fence a long time about joining. In the end I didn't because the only real reason I was joining was to get a couple decks I wanted. $150 is too much to get a couple decks and there was no other real compelling reason to join.

have to agree with you guys, don't think the membership is that great an offering. the only benefit see from the membership is 'savings' from discounts but thats pretty much all. nothing in the black club store (imho overpriced) and they don't really release much new effects either.

Never went for it. Period. I'm sure there have been times a sweet deal came down the pike but it wouldn't have been by my choosing and $150.00 buy some mighty fine cards.

Same here, I liked E prior to this black club thing. Paying one fifty so you can spend money. E comes out with some nice magic but just about everything they offer can be found at one of the hundreds of magic stores cheaper. I did pick up a couple downloads which are very well done, no complaints there but that whole black club thing really turned me off to E has a whole. What do they think they are, a discount warehouse.
