Just received an email promoting deckstarters newest campaign.
I don't see how they cam up with the name for this deck and they're minimalist decks. They do have beautiful colors though so I'm gonna check them out.
I checked out the pricing. It's not too bad, I'm just not a fan of the separate shipping. I like the collectors pack with one of everything but it's almost $84 after shipping is added.
I do not like how each suit has a different color card and I especially don't like when the back border color doesn't match the face color. That's my bugaboo.
Otherwise nice back, cool tuck, sweet pip layout but weak courts.

With "Alice of Wonderland" still in our Hall of Shame, I would have picked something other than that. I suppose we'll find out if they have permission to use the name this time, the last try obviously didn't, and it surely did not help with the funding nor the fulfillment process - obviously.
I kind of like the deck, but I sure can't see where the link to Alice can be found (or not).
>Mike<"You can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself" They say "Ignorance is bliss". Obviously, some people are much happier than others...

Funny when i first received the email from Deckstarter, my first thought was ..Is Mike F resurrecting his deck hehehehe. Finally jumped off the fence and pledge on the EB for the set
I tried for multiple EBs but they wanted to charge $6 shipping for each pair not combined lower shipping which puts each EB pair at $21 which still isn't too bad.
I like the design overall and I especially like the court cards but I don't know if I'm a fan of the different coloured card faces for the different suits.
Not a bad looking deck at all, I do like the perspective-shift border thing on the back quite a bit. But echoing what everyone else said I honestly don't see the connection to Alice. The mixed color faces on the one version is an interesting touch.
Probably more interesting about this project though is that, unless I'm remembering incorrectly, this is the first deckstarter project which is using the Tilt crowdfunding platform. I think the previous projects were on something custom. I've been looking at Tilt myself (and I think its the backend of Kings Wild's system too) so that is somewhat interesting from the business perspective...

According to an interview on Kardify, the deck was originally created to support his daughter's school play of "Alice in Wonderland" and some of the costumes were based on the court designs.
I think he should have chosen a different name as this name in particular creates an expectation.
These were supposed to be fulfilled in December and then in January and now again, too many delays. Deckstarter has zero updates on anything and I kind of hope they don't put out anything else.
Deckstarter sent updates on 1/10 for both the revelation deck and this one
Dear Backers,
First and foremost we apologize for the late response on the Alice and wonderland deck's progress. The holiday season and a pleather of backup on the USPCC's end has resulted in the delay.
The USPCC did not have the materials needed to make the unique box design we required, but now all materials are in and the production of the deck has begun and we are expecting them to be shipped early to mid February.
We will continue to update you as we hear information about the production of the deck.
Thank you for your patience and we look forward to getting you these works of art as soon as possible, The DeckStarter team.
Any one who ordered these decks through Deckstarter receive them yet? I know I haven't and it infuriated me when I saw these for sale on both the D&D and Art of Play site.
