I got my 3 decks + 1. Wanted to get the 6 for the tutorial but I figured I was rather ambitious since I'm hardly a cardist.

Will there be a fall/winter deck or something? I have the original red and black deck, I guess those don't have a special name.

Just read that they are sold out and the Virts are preparing to print another batch to meet the multiplied demand that they didn't expect.

Regarding the second print run:
Isn’t this a limited edition deck?

The Spring/Summer 2015 Virtuoso deck is limited in the sense that it is a seasonal product and will not be produced again when the season ends. Hence the name.

However, we’ve never intended to make the Virtuoso deck scarce for the sake of it. Considering its the only deck designed for Cardistry, we actually want this deck in the hands of as many cardists as possible.

The Virtuoso deck just happens to sell out very quickly, and considering how expensive and time-consuming it is to produce a deck of this caliber, we’ve never been able to print more than our original run. And with the demand for the SS15 Virtuoso deck being many, many, times more than any Virtuoso deck before it, it also happens to be more scarce and limited than ever.
So they'll print 100,000 if they have to under the seasonal blanket. And I'm glad they're doing that. Despite their popularity, there's definitely people who probably bought 20 bricks or something with the sole intention to profit later. Leaving so many out. Many early birds didn't even get a chance.

The Virts want their decks to be a tool, not a commodity.

Does it really matter? It's not like they were super limited in the first place anyway

I agree with Eoghann, when making decks for cardists they shouldn't be made in the same way that collectibles are. Kudos to the Virts.

This is a very cool move by Virts and I for one am happy to hear it's happening. There have been more than a couple decks that I wished had done this as well. Very well done! While it sucks for whoever picked up 20 bricks with intent on profiting off them in later months. This really is a wonderful move for people who just want to use the decks and really couldn't care less about the resale side of things. Easy access to a fun deck, can't be anything but a good thing. :)
TL:DR It's completely up to you.

Is fanning powder needed for Virts SS15 deck?

Unread post by dleiber »

I just received my order of the new SS15 deck by the Virts and was wondering if it needs fanning powder first or should I be able to do fans out of the box? (I'm a total newbie at fanning, so it's probably me, but I was very surprised that I could fan better with several other decks (e.g., White Ghost, Archangels, Shadow Masters, and even standard Bikes) I have than with these.)

Regardless of being new to this, I was thinking my fans would look the same or better with "better" decks, so I'm perplexed.

Mine fanned out just fine without powder.

Actually i have another question, has anybody used fanning powder with EPCC decks? Let me know your experience
