I'm so glad he's "doing this right" this time around. I didn't care for the traditional attire and poses in the initial deck, which is why the part 2 was such a favorite for me. This though, looks awesome.
My money is still on Legal Tender being the sister deck like Silver/Gold Certificates were for the others, given same timeline and style. Either way, I'm all in on both and I already have a hallway for Emmanuel Jose uncuts, but this will mean my Jackson Robinson uncuts will now require much, much more space.
What I can say at this point is the The Federal 52 Second Edition will be the continuation of the original series. The Fed 52 2nd Edition will also be one of the decks that is offered in the Kickstarter alongside Legal Tender, which is a completely separate deck. Although it has the same currency theme it will have a completely different feel and approach. Both decks will be printed by USPCC and I have been refining these decks for over year now.
I think he has a bigger following on KS. Another plus is that funds aren't collected till after the campaign ends rather than once it funds. Huge drawback b/c some have to wait to pledge till they have the funds and forget to pledge.
Very likely the possible traffic generated by KS increases the odds of another hit. That's a boon for him and for playing cards in general really. The more people brought into the shuffle the better in my opinion, Jackson's campaigns have the ability to draw in quite the crowd. If it's launched on KWFunded the audience is more just us, the collectors. Which is great for certain decks, I think the Scarlett Tally-ho's would have been much better suited for KWFunded being such a limited run. This though, it will demand a big stage.
TL:DR It's completely up to you. We can still be friends. I actually like playing cards. We live in interesting times.
I'll just ask you, if you would be so kind, and delay the launch to May/June, this month (with ICONS, Arcana, Spirit and Army) I've spent more than I'll earn in the next 3-4 months!!
Thank you.

Already working on that... But my new project will take some time to start being profitable!!

Does it involve a 12-step program for card collectors where one of the steps is to stop collecting and give all of their decks to you?

I hope it's not getting old. I love the foiled decks. I think there's less foiled decks out there than currency themed decks. I'd love to see the 2 combined
Well whatever is in the pic Dan posted is pretty shiny... if it ain't foil then someone's being experimenting with properly shiny inks. (reg seems a bit off though - shiny stuff not quite central...)

Yes that specific print proof has green foil. However that was me experimenting with foil on card last year. If I were to show you the face of that proof you would also see that there is foil also on the front of the cards as well. It might be a little confusing as that image was pulled from a different thread and I did not intend to drop that pic here in this thread as it is not the current direction for this deck and would easily cause confusion.
So far from what I've seen this is gonna be awesome. The original Fed 52 project was the first Kickstarter project that I backed and I've been a fan of Jackson's work ever sense. I'll be prepping my wallet for April!
