It's more of a burning sensation rather than a fire; so it's nothing a little ointment won't cure...

I just found myself staring at about nine decks I've backed on Kickstarter that I felt I should try to help promote if I really want them to succeed. Otherwise, why would I have backed them if I wasn't interested enough to help advertise them?

Only time, and the graph for each of the decks here will tell if my flag waving has any effect.

Plus, everything I do is good training for when I complete the set of three decks I'm working on.

And I also want to see all the card projects succeed. Even though I dislike many of the new decks I'm a big fan of the diversity in designs. This way everybody should be able to find new decks that suit them perfectly

I love this deck, but the thing is, the creator seems to not care too much for the project, one update till the moment, last comment on march 9th, so if he doesn't care why should I, and if it gets funded then I'm afraid the he will even care less to fulfil the pledges...

He's so close to funding too. Showing a little love to his project could push it over the top. 10 days since his 1 and only update. 16 days since his last comment. I'm cancelling my pledge. I have to agree sms69x, if he can't keep US in the loop now, he definitely won't if it funds.

It's definitely a red flag but I've seen chatty projects go dead after funding so it's not a sure sign of failure. The deck of skeletons guy barely made a peep and he fulfilled just fine. But I'm not a fan of the lack of communication and can't be bothered with the whole will they/won't they dynamic anymore.

I haven't been burned by projects...yet (if Writhing Dark comes through).
It's an attractive deck, but I'll play it safe and wait for aftermarket.

I just got in, where's everyone going? These are beautiful cards, I'll give it a try for 1 deck, but I hope he becomes more communicative. To put that much time and effort into making these cards, you'd think he'd want to talk about them.

I know this is probably too late, but i dont think that the back design is going to turn out well, too much black and fine gold lines just doesnt work out well. Well and pretty inconsistent to the bright white faces, even though it has a white border

Theres a reason why I have not been on any forums or advertising. We have miscalculated the price and also did not know there was such a service as fulfillment services.

I have stopped all the bloggers and advertisers from promoting our campaign because there has been some changes, Further improvements of the decks.

And that instead of getting the shipment sent to UK I never knew there was such a service as a fulfillment service in the United States or anywhere. I was speaking to Gamblers Warehouse who are also offering the service. I thought if I do this everyone will have a better experience especially the backers as the postage wont be so much and their warehouse they will post fast and they have loads of experience posting decks so the packaging will be great too. It would cost minimum approx. £1000 just for postage to the UK.

Another thing is I will be changing to a different printing US company that is good and so more backers get the opportunity to buy a deck.

From my last Post update I mentioned that I didn't let the bloggers. I was hoping in updating everyone last week early but was waiting on a quote from EPCC playing cards as I heard they are good so then I could get the re-launch ready I waited before updating as I thought it waould have been soon. I didn't get the reply so I rang america today and been told approx 7 hours I will have a quote. I will then update everyone and with the new link and keep communication up.

I want to offer 5 random backers chosen to be drawn in my seasons artstyle then frame with signature and sent I don't want anyone feeling I don't care I so do.

Once its up and sorted I will be on the forums messaging and keeping everyone in the new. I have started doing the custom joker cards for the backers.

So everything should be much better. Having a fulfillment service will give a greater smoother experience for all. I will update asap I just waiting for that quote.

• He didn't do any basic homework (as simple as checking out other projects), or ask anyone.... like say.... here?
• He's gone complete radio silence because he realises it's not financially viable. (How is he going to react when something hits the fan once he has everyone's money?)
• He's moving to a different "printing US company" - aka EPCC (who are obviously a US company.... printing in Asia)
• Once he's got around to this "everything should be much better" and will send an update after receiving a quote from EPCC.

I guess I normally give project creators a bit of benefit of doubt, but whoa those red flags just jump out of that. Any subsequent/updated campaign will be an easy skip for me - at least until a troublefree project is delivered.

No he has cancelled the project and has been planning a relaunch for at least a week now.

I hope with special limited edition embossed and gilded tuck stickers. Those are important in the success of a modern kickstart, attracting wealthy collectors with poor impulse control.

In all seriousness though, I hope he gets his act together and keeps it together - these are nice looking cards, it would be a shame to have it fail by mismanagement after he has invested this much time already. Investigate, plan, execute - one ounce of medicine is worth two pounds of cure.

I'm going to suggest he does NOT use EPCC because they have been massively delayed lately, up to 6 months for some decks. He should stick with USPC or use Legends instead.

He could cancel it any moment before its end (and he did this). But you are right about moral aspect of such approach… if it was his approach and not some lack of organization. I don’t say that this campaign and its management are nice, but I think we can wait and see.

Courts remind me of Pagan without that UUSI special sauce, but I do like it. If every deck had to stack up to UUSI we'd be in a world of hurt.
