Hello UC,
I'm very happy to finally reveal some of the details of a project I'm involved in!
This project is being launched by Crooked Kings .
The Bicycle Full Moon is a Werewolf themed deck with the WORLD'S FIRST lenticular lens motion Bicycle tuck!
There will be 2 editions available at launch...
The standard edition:
And the mind-blowing Special Edition!!
Simply hold the tuck box in your hand, and with the slightest turn of your wrist, the full moon rises and the mythical creature is brought to life!
The Court Cards
Each court design has been hand illustrated to capture the intense details and attributes of these ferocious beasts. These creative designs display the human form, struggling to contain the the beast within, as well as their fully transformed monstrous counterpart

Very interesting project. Looking forward to it, eager to see more courts. The clubs pip is really cool as well.

Very cool! Wait for the one-way court haters. I'm fine with this and it's needed and serves a purpose, I think most will get that.
Date????
About the tuck and changing image, I assume that it will use lenticular printing which requires a ridged plastic layer on top? If so, wouldn't that greatly diffuse the image so it's not as crisp in the mockup? Usually these appear quite blurry, which for this effect I would be ok with, but just wondering if that technology has improved so it will look better at all angles and still have a good motion effect.

I most often am one but it absolutely makes sense here. Werewolves morph- it would be almost silly if the courts were 2-way, IMO.ecNate wrote:Very cool! Wait for the one-way court haters.

Re: Bicycle Full Moon Werewolf Deck - Coming Soon to KS!
The one-way courts are very well appreciated.
What i would like to see, is a gaff card (double facer) with a half moon( or the sun) on one side and the full moon on the other side.
The fun part of those one-way courts is that if you fan the deck the first time you will see the human courts.
Now you close the fan and re-fan the deck. This time the Werewolf side will show up.Just some food for thought

I'm more interested in how the tuck box is going to turn out. How thick is the box going to be? How is the lenticular lens integrated on the box?

I am not a big fan of the backs with that wolf silhouette. I think the moons are great but something like on heretic would be amazing

Wow, I didn't realize that these were going live today. I'm glad I checked KS. I managed to get a EB of a standard for me and a special edition for my wife who loves werewolves. Quite excited about these.

Re: ***Bicycle Full Moon Werewolf Deck - LIVE!!! (wap)
The artwork on the courts is amazing, the custom pips look good, but I have to agree with Yashi, that back is extremely boring and plain.
Feeding the addiction one deck at a time.

I like the simplicity and dual coloring of the backs, but some more contrast in the center element(s) would make a big difference.

I like the indigo and black colors but I agree that there should be more. Maybe if it were just gritty looking or something like that to fill the void.

Re: ***Bicycle Full Moon Werewolf Deck - LIVE!!!
I'm perfectly happy with the back of the deck as it is, and hadn't considered any changes there until I saw the post mentioning it above; which has caused me to think about what I would suggest if it was to be changed...
And the obvious answer is...
Make the large circle on the back into a Full Moon!

UPDATE:
Having looked at all of the sample cards, I would also change the corner designs into Full Moons too!

FYI $30 for a canvas print isn't a bad price at all.
