@Blake - Compromise or not. Lets say I'm playing a Texas Hold'em game. I see my opponent lift his cards up and spread them apart. I know his first card is an Ace. He had to spread his cards out to see the pip because it was not in the indices. Your cards have a flaw.

Well 55 hours left and still almost $2000 short. I wonder when the bros are going to jump in to save this project like all their other failures. Maybe it's time the Bucks realized that Deckstarter just isn't working and that their "secret" backing of their own projects only hurts them more and more.

Well well after weeks and weeks of dragging on they suddenly get $2000 in funding to put them over the top, really lame D&D. Just presell the damn decks on artofplay.com if you can't make it as a Kickstarter wannabe!

Count me in the happy group too, hehe. Really glad this funded and will definitely be looking forward to seeing the decks in person. This is the deck that finally suckered me into backing on deckstarter. Congrats Blake!

First let me say thank you to all the people that have been so supportive and helpful in this process I am very glad that we got this deck to be funded. Second I have to tell you guys it was not the Bucks that saved this project. The only reason that I mention that is for anyone who tries to take the deckstarter route they will NOT save your project. They are very helpful in other aspects but trust me coming from the designer these where not tilted by the bucks. I must say thank you to everyone who helped make this a reality. My team and I are working on the next deck and I promise UC will be the first to hear about it !

I backed this project because I liked your take on the themes involved. And, let's face it, the price was certainly right. But, why, why did you go with pseudo-repeating courts?

I see that the red courts and the black courts are different from each other, but the clubs are merely mirrors of the spades, while the diamonds are likewise only mirrors of the hearts. Why did you not draw four distinct sets of courts?

This seems to be a hallmark of D&D-sponsored decks, of late. Did they encourage you to do this? Or was it a decision you arrived at which happened to, well, mirror the way other D&D-sponsored decks have gone?

(I'll also note that the colors in this printing did not pop the way they did in the photos of the demos you posted earlier. C'est la vie.)

I think you have a great attitude and I do enjoy how you approached the art for this deck, but I'm bummed that there isn't... more. The ad cards were also a wasted opportunity to exhibit your style. Even the jokers are repeating.

I hope you will take my disappointment not as an attack on you, nor as an attack on your art, but rather, as an expression of sadness at a completely missed opportunity here. I wanted to see *more* of your work in this deck. More of your excellent style. Every card is an opportunity for you to connect with your audience. By pseudo-repeating the courts, repeating the jokers, and doing nothing of interest with the ad cards, you used less than half of your available canvas.

Sorry if this comes across as ranty. I like your work, Blake. I just wish there was more of it in this deck.

Rouselle, First let me thank you so much for backing the project AND for writing up a review about them. (You are actually the first that I have seen). I hope that over all you do like the cards. I am very sorry for the pseudo repeating faces. As you have stated it is a hallmark of a specific style and we as a group where encouraged to do it ( same with the repeating jokers) (also I want to make it totally clear that my team and I had no input in regards to the add cards.)

As Far as negative reviews go the best kind you can get say that you did not give enough ( I guess you will just have to wait for the next deck ) We at Kairos cards will be doing things differently the next go around BUT you can be sure that we will bring the same artistic flair AND individuality that we brought with this one BUT we will also use much more of the canvas.

Now I will say that we are very proud of our product and we think that we did something very few people have done in the art of cards which is making them artistic without losing substance ( and If I may say so myself I think we have the greatest back design I have seen in ages =P)

Thanks again for the review. I hope that overall you like the deck. Even if you want more. I promise we will deliver more! Also thank you again for your support in this wonderful adventure.

Well now this bloody well sucks. No uncut sheets and instead I get $20 credit to Art of Play. How does one "forget" to order uncut sheets? WTF? But at least the credit covers what I pledged just I'd have preferred a refund to a store credit.

We are emailing you to let you know that we unfortunately forgot to order Uncut sheets from the USPCC. We understand this might be devastating news and totally unprofessional on our end. We apologize a thousand times over. We are sorry.

What we have done, to hopefully make it up to you, is persuaded Art of Play into giving you a $20 credit to their shop. We hope this offer, in addition to the deck(s) we mailed to you, will be sufficient. It is really the best we can do.

Same here, I cannot understand why the uncuts were not ordered nor why I´m offered 15$ discount instead 20$ as chach was.
Even more, we know about this issue once the decks are shipped and about to be delivered. At least, in my opinion, it would had been a better option to be offered extra decks instead the AoP discount and ship them with the ones sent already.
I replied deckstarter mail asking to receive extra deck(s) with the t-shirt from the collector's pledge.
Waiting for news from deckstarter now.
