De'vo's Signature Series "Card Masters" - Coming Feb/March

Unread post by sms69x »

De'vo's Signature Series "Card Masters" with amazing artwork by Anika Burrell is coming Feb/March to http://www.xtremehandz.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This amazing deck is a brand new 100% custom deck with custom pips, court cards, jokers, and will come in 2 versions. A standard version, and a gold gilded version. Both feature white borders on back AND faces! Reveal on 1 joker, and a blank card. Both front and backs have De'vo's signature Twin Tip Mirror Back design allowing for different fans. The courts feature masked figures with cards doing springs and fans. Court card masks and color change between suits, and this time we have a special Suicide king of hearts!
We are still working with the USPC on boxes - we hope to have a special foil box with the gilded decks.
More to come on this amazing deck as time goes on, stay tuned!

So, a back design that's already been done in multiple colors, coupled with one-way courts?

This will probably be joining the MMD series as "De'vo decks I won't bother with".

PS. This confused me though: "Both front and backs have De'vo's signature Twin Tip Mirror Back design allowing for different fans." Back design on the faces? :?

It sounds like he was really excited when typing that message that it ended up not making so much sense. Pretty cool Joker though.

D'oh! I thought the card in the pic was a Jack. Since De'vo expects everyone to remove the jokers before doing flourishes, I suppose the jury's still out on the courts.

It would never happen but I think it would be cool if he finally revealed himself as the KoS or in his likeness.

Where do you see a back design that's already been done? Let's wait until we see more before criticizing it. And what is wrong with 1 way court cards? You never seem to be happy with any deck unless it's exactly a specific certain way and I don't understand that.

"De'vo's signature Twin Tip Mirror Back design" sounds to me like the Dominion back design, but I could be wrong.

1 way court cards, to me, are not true playing card court cards. As with back designs, them being mirrored is one of the things that makes it unique and different from just a sketch or image pasted on a piece of paper.

I'm not gonna point out the irony of you posting that last statement, but I always state my opinion and I have a very particular taste so there's bound to be a lot of criticism. I feel like I give praise where it's due though, and I give advice and suggestions for improvements whenever I can.

Oh Heck yeah, I sure will...

So Victor, you felt like Butterfingerz was being a little bit too critical without cause?
Well, take that feeling you felt and hold on to it... embrace it... cherish it...

then multiply it by about 100...

and consider that this is the way that many people here feel about just about ALL of your posts...

and maybe just reflect on that for a little while before you post again... :ugthink: ;)

They're similar but different from what I've seen, not repeating so to speak there's some changes to the masks.

I have had this one "Must Has!" list since I saw the initial teaser photo. The wait is almost over. :D

Apart from the MMD's, this is the first deck from De'vo that I have no interest in getting. Which suits me fine, since the shipping is always a bitch

These guys are the only company I know that create decks that all have the exact same vibe but are different enough that I want to own every one. Including this one! Like Tom said though, damn their shipping!

Merged the two topics. Also here's some pricing info

DE'VO'S SIGNATURE SERIES - CARD MASTERS
The long awaited and super anticipated 100% NEW custom deck - "De'vo's Signature Series Card Masters" will be released Saturday, 28 Feb 2015! De'vo's Signature Series is his series for card collectors with an emphasis on unique and beautiful artwork and customization. This particular deck in the series is also ideal for playing cards, flourishes/XCM and magic due to it having white borders on both the backs and faces. The bordered corners of the face cards are also white instant pip recognition making it great for card games. This amazing new deck has custom everything, custom pips, court cards, jokers, and a beautiful gold foil box. Card Masters are LIMITED EDITION and will come in two different styles. Regular, non gilded (Blue Seal), and a very limited supply of Gold glided edged decks (Gold Seal). This deck has incredible custom artwork by amazing artist Anika Burrell. The court cards are absolutely gorgeous with each of the characters doing a classic in card manipulation. Court card character masks, hair, and coloring change between the different suits making them all individually unique. There are 2 different jokers and one with a reveal for magicians. There is even a suicide king in this very special deck. This deck also includes a special signature card with signatures from both the artist and De'vo and a blank card designed to match the bordered faces for doing blank fans or magic. Both the backs and faces have De'vo's signature twin tip mirror back design - meaning this deck will give you a total of 4 different fans (2 on the back and 2 on the faces) depending on which way you fan them, and mirror back meaning that you can shuffle them normally without worrying about getting them mixed up.

This deck was also designed from the beginning for having luxurious gold gilding on the edges which will be in the Gold Seal Card Masters. The back and faces really compliment the gilding making these cards a collector's dream! Do not miss this NEW and gorgeous one of a kind deck! They are LIMITED EDITION! The last Signature Series playing cards sold out in 9 hours. Our last release - Dominion v2 sold out in 6 hours. Just for giggles I added two random decks to my cart to see how much shipping would be (US anyway) and it was $6. Could be worse I guess. The way I look at it, 2 decks, 1 gilded shipped for $31 is not too shabby.
