Now this is bound to be a winner! I have seen the minimal tease to get us salivating, no clue as to timing - yet. I'm sure Jackson will show more as the time grows nearer, not a lot to go on yet, but I could bet the farm on these...

UPDATE (most likely anyhow, can only assume this is what was meant by the early tease) - Some exciting news! Unlike the United States, not all countries currency and the art depicted on them is public domain. I am happy to announce that after months of back and forth I have finally gotten permission by the Bank of Canada to reproduce a series of playing cards inspired by the beautiful art found on Canadian Bank Notes both past and modern. Thank you to everybody for your continued support and encouragement.

Legal Tender has nothing to do with the Bank of Canada announcement. I've been in talks with the bank of Canada for months now about getting permission to use their currency imagery. Legal Tender is a completely different project.
Well is there anything further you can say about this one or do we have to wait for later announcements. Your art is intricate enough where I think you could work for the mint.
Our money says "In God We Trust"... their money says "Will Pay On Demand". Our motto sounds better but with Obamacare we need to trust in God not to get sick. We need real healthcare reform not the $#!T Yobama gave us. We should adopt the Canadian Healthcare system here.
Sorry to get off topic... but when it comes to healthcare reform I get Canadians have it so good... except for the cold.
Looking forward to both the Legal Tender series and the O'Canada Series. Should be another home-run.

What I can say about Legal Tender is that it will most likely be my biggest project of 2015. I'm putting a huge amount of resources and development towards it. I'm also working on some really cool stuff with USPCC for this project that I think is going to blow some minds. In terms of time frame depending on how some other projects I have planned that are not card related go between now and then I plan on launching Legal Tender April 1st, and no there will be no April Fools joke that goes along with it.
Do you plan on releasing Legal Tender before or after the Canadian Tender and which crowd-funding platforms should we expect these on?
Very excited!
There is a lot more prep that still needs to be done for the Canadian deck, so the Canadian deck will for sure be after Legal Tender. Legal Tender will for sure be on Kickstarter and will be on the scale of the Federal 52 project. (Maybe not as many decks) but in the scope.

That sounds awesome! I cannot wait! Thank you for the information.

Hey pass the pipe Jackson is talking here. I think Feb 15th is the last date to sign up for Obamacare. Is that right? This year you pay 1% of your income. Next year I think it's 2% of your income. This was a pubic service announcement.
@Jackson - You like drawing money? The only problem sometimes artists want to move on in style. How many styles are in money?

There are honestly enough different styles of money that I could produce a deck a year for the rest of my life and have a new style every time.

Indeed there is. I think it's a challenge staying "fresh" when working within a single theme but I am sure you are up to that challenge.
PS A deck or series based on ancient currency would be cool. Probably an even bigger challenge not to mention a major PITA but cool none the less....

Just posted on Facebook about 1 hour ago - I didn't see that coming, landscape money turned into portrait orientated cards. Weird, but very interested to see more.
The artwork is beautiful as always, Jackson doesn't disappoint in that department, but I for one don't really like how he decided to layout his corner indices and pips.
I love the take. It's clean, amazing detail, but really pays homage to $$. I especially love the gold "K" index, just like the current bills. With all the recent talk of foiling and EPCC foiling under finish, would be neat if those little Kings Wild seals were foiled on the card front!
They just posted another one below, but instead of Legal Tender called it Federal 52 2nd Edition and has slight differences. Seeing this one I can start to envision the rest and am getting pretty excited for this one. Will be a multi deck purchase for sure, probably another friggen uncut in my future too.
The big question is how many decks is this all at once? Perhaps 2 decks in same Kickstarter like the others? Assume these are 2 different decks and Legal Tender isn't just the name of the ONLY upcoming Federal 52 2nd Edition.
Ecnate. Those pics are from 2 different decks. There is a FED 52 Part 2 coming and that last pic is just a preview card. It is not part of the legal tender deck

Right, but given they are both coming in April with almost the same theme might they be 2 decks in the same project like the other Federal decks had a primary Federal 52 named deck and then another one (Fed 52 & Gold/Silver Certificates)?
Legal Tender & the Federal 52 2nd Edition are completely different decks. They will however be offered with the same Kickstarter in April. Both decks will be printed by USPCC.
Great looking first look for both Legal Tender and Fed52 part 2 (why not part 3, I don't understand). Once we see more, I am certain Jackson will have two winners, and he has already said both fund in a single campaign in April. Looking forward to seeing more!
Everyone seems to think since we like to debate, I don't like his work - which doesn't make sense to me. I like the first looks, hope we see more soon!

I thought the same thing Mike, but it's 2nd edition and not part 2. In my mind it's a revision of the first one, how it should have been done. It is a bit confusing though since really it's the third.
