Amour - Coterie1902
Looks pretty good, but a bit late for Valentines ain't it?
Apparently it is part of a collection of magic that costs $52 and $62 if you want a second deck, kind of a bummer.

Re: Amour - Coterie1902 (wap)
We do need to apologise for the delay in launch of Amour Magic Collection on Coterie. I have a very full schedule for commercial shows and lectures both for magicians and my corporate clients. They have been going really fast, all the works took up too much of our team's time, hence the delay.
Amour deck is part of Amour Magic Collection, which is a magic set of romantic themed magic effects. We have been selling them offline on my lectures and in local magic shops, again, because of the workload, we couldn't manage to take the time to finish all the product shots.
This is not exactly a limited edition deck, but we sell this magic set to both magicians and the general public, so we need to build the magic set around the stock level of it, therefore we can't really make them available for individual purchase.
The best we could do at the moment is offer a small quantity of Amour Magic Collection with two Amour decks option.
Hope you guys will like it enough to consider to pick up the full set.
Thanks,
Zenneth

Re: Amour - Coterie1902
Curious Zenneth, why is Entwined Hearts not part of the package? Seems like it would be a perfect fit.

Re: Amour - Coterie1902 (wap)
We have devised two methods for every effect in this collection, the easy version is so easy that basically it takes less than an hour for a total beginner to learn them all, that's why we are also selling it to people that are completely new to magic.
While there is also an easy method for Entwined Hearts, but we feel even the easy method will require some previous knowledge of card handling in order to perform it well. So, we decided to exclude it from this collection.

Re: Amour - Coterie1902
Rather curious, did you print more Coterie Bees and/or make more with Gold Seals?
The whole edition was supposed to be limited to 5200 decks back in 2012. In Nov 2012 it was announced on this board that 50% of stock was sold. We were then told
"The publicly available version is no seal, which is about 4300 decks, sealed version is about 900 decks." and it later came out that gold seal decks were only supposed to be for members.. but later were sold first with Zenneth's signature and no shrink and more recently sold shrink wrapped and unsigned.
Then in 2013 (March) it was stated "We only have 70 decks of 1st edition Coterie Bee playing cards left in stock and we will stop selling them on 1/4 doesn't matter they are sold out or not, so if any of you ever want to get them then this will be probably the final chance to get them at a fair price."
So what's actually left and what's actually being offered in the brick deal? Just curious before I decide to buy.

Re: Amour - Coterie1902 (wap)
Hi Strag,
It's a long story, but here we go:
There are about 1000 decks of Gold Sealed version in total, originally they have been reserved for real Coterie members. Upon request from many collectors, we made a very small quantity of them available on Coterie with my signature, and then we stop selling them.
Truth is, we submitted our design drafts for Gold, Red, Blue edition of Coterie Bee to USPCC and expected to print Red edition after Gold edition is about to sold out. However, USPCC have been very fluctuate with their attitude about printing the Red/Blue edition.
First they say they won't print Red edition anymore due to brand strategy management, a few months later they emailed us saying they can do the new edition now.
Just when we were about to give them the finalised artworks, they said they can't print Coterie Bee series again.
And shortly after that...the Metallic version of Bee playing cards were printed by USPCC and available on the market, which looks very much like what we have planned to print with the Blue Edition.
We emailed USPCC about it, as details such as the tuck case material and color scheme of the metallic Bee were very similar to the draft of Blue edition that we wanted to do. They replied saying Bee brand and card design is an intellectual property of USPCC, so they don't see any problem with it.
We feel this is very unfair to us, after getting us to work on the artworks and learning what we intend to do with the new editions only to say they won't print it for us and released something extremely similar to what we wanted to do.
At that time we have also reserved about 300 decks of non sealed version and planned to use them as part of the promotion for future coterie promotions.
Eventually, we decided not to use Gold Seal version to serve it's original purpose anymore and made all the remaining stock of Gold Sealed version publicly available.
We had 600USD remained in USPCC account and used it up to print Question decks and that's probably going to be the last deck we'll ever printed with USPCC.

FYI, the seller told me:
This is the premium version of Amour playing cards. Coterie will release this pretty soon.

Woah, that is a NICE tuck! And the ace is killer! If only I collected just unopened decks. Coz the cards don't exactly move me.

Actually the luxury edition of Amour Playing Cards has been done sometime ago, it's just our team were very occupied with a trade show project and some magic community activities, hence the delay in launch.

A bit off topic but I just noticed that the 12 deck bundle isn't a bad deal, averaging $11.25 per deck shipped: http://coterie1902.com/products/playing ... rds-bundle" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

yeah..especially when the bundle contains a couple of sold out decks and there are only less than 10 of them left...vasta41 wrote:A bit off topic but I just noticed that the 12 deck bundle isn't a bad deal, averaging $11.25 per deck shipped: http://coterie1902.com/products/playing ... rds-bundle" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Even we were amazed by how much some of the decks in the bundle priced on eBay...
