Re: *** Orbiter Playing Card Display - launching TONIGHT 9PM
The timing of this deck couldn't have been better for me. The girl had been pretty crabby about my pledge on the Orbiters for a few days since her discovery. Today while we were talking about Kickstarter in general Scott posts the update, and bada bing she likes it! Naturally, the only proper reaction for a man in my position to do is, Up my pledge. I'll have an orbiter full of orbiters.
Honestly I like the colors too. Aside from the obvious bonus of her off my case, maybe I'll get the girl to finally participate in some card games. That'll be nice. I'm a proud backer of Orbiters and Orbiters.

Re: *** Orbiter Playing Card Display - live on KS
I hear the blood sucking from every card collector who pledged for the displays. Feel the burn for the deck, but won't it be neat to display my deck treasures on a wall....

If the diamond and heart suits were purple and blue for the clubs and spades then it'll look better to me. Not a fan of same colored pips.

However I was in for 10 displays and decided to drop. I like the concept but the International shipping just made it all too much for me. Shame as I need deck displays.

I haven't pledged yet, but I will if someone drops the details on the Guy Fawkes masked deck before. I'll even go for multiple displays if you give it to me before Eoghann.

His deck hasn't been produced yet, but it's here. FYI: The way it works here is that anyone who dabbles in designing decks are in the "Deck Artist" group, while those who have successfully funded and produced a deck gets moved to the "Verified Designer" group.
Re: *** Orbiter Playing Card Display - live on KS
So should I be "Verified Designer"? If so, is this something I'm supposed to do? Sorry to ask such n00b questions...louizz wrote: FYI: The way it works here is that anyone who dabbles in designing decks are in the "Deck Artist" group, while those who have successfully funded and produced a deck gets moved to the "Verified Designer" group.

Re: *** Orbiter Playing Card Display - live on KS
For those who missed this update because they turned it down or were still on the fence like me for it being just a little too pricey. I also decided against it after I got the deal on CollectablePlayingCards displays. Given time and a new price I may be in next time around.
As previously stated, we plan on relaunching this next year, and in the meantime, we plan on trying to find a less expensive manufacturer to pass the savings on to you, so everyone rest easy.
The Orbiter will be back in 2015!

I believe in second chances. Because in the first couple of posts you seem like an ASShole. Do you have thick skin? So, what is new? Why do I want to buy this? Sooo v2 is smaller and the frames have no ghastly black sides so you can see the entire deck ? In the end its still about two things, Price and the breakeven sum.

Re: *** Orbiter 2.0 Playing Card Display - coming soon
i really would like to have some of those but int. shipping will be the killer i guess.
the best int. shipping prices (incl. tracking) do have the asians (i.e. from Hong Kong).
wondering why no one takes advantage of that?! like using a fullfillment center from HK (especially if your product is made in asia)

I'm glad you believe in second chances. I don't think I'm an asshole, although I suppose I have my days. I try to be generally nice to everyone, and yes I have thick skin. I don't think anyone can be in an industry that is based on opinion and be successful if they get butt hurt with every opposing opinion. Opinions are like butt holes, etc...sprouts1115 wrote:I believe in second chances. Because in the first couple of posts you seem like an ASShole. Do you have thick skin? So, what is new? As for what's different, we scaled down the size, changed the actual display portion so that it's clear all the way around, and changed some of the components.
We're choosing to not release details yet on pricing, but I can tell you all that both the unit price AND funding goal are SUBSTANTIALLY cheaper.
As for the Guy F. deck, don't worry. It's around.

Re: **Orbiter 2.0 Playing Card Display - LIVE!
So Version 1.0 was $48 to display 10 decks and Version 2.0 takes two displays at $54 to display 8 decks? Sorry, but I'd rather have the V1 than this.
Re: **Orbiter 2.0 Playing Card Display - LIVE!
So, I knew this would come up, so let's go ahead and address it quickly.flyers3003 wrote:So Version 1.0 was $48 to display 10 decks and Version 2.0 takes two displays at $54 to display 8 decks? Sorry, but I'd rather have the V1 than this.
In Version 1.0, it cost $59 to display 10 decks.
In Version 2.0, is costs $62 to display 12 decks.
So, for $3, you gain 2 deck spaces.
Also, you may have noticed that the deal actually gets better the higher/more you get. Admittedly, we couldn't get the numbers to be as nice for the lower pledge levels, but the cost is lower. The funding goal is lower. And, the higher pledge levels are better then the original.

V1 - $48 for the unit + $11 shipping = $59 for 10 decks to be displayed
V2 - $54 for 2 units + $11 shipping (if shipping was to be included then you've got a bug on KS) + ($2/deck x 2 decks) = $69 for 10 decks to be displayed, $73 for 12.
How are you getting $62 unless you're not including shipping in the cost of V2?

Re: **Orbiter 2.0 Playing Card Display - LIVE!
Then, as I said, there is a bug on KS. When I click on the $54 pledge it is automatically adding $11 more for shipping to the US. Fix this, and then it starts to get closer to being worth it. Having said that, I'd still prefer the bigger display.CBJ wrote: Version 2.0 has free US shipping

It does? Where's the link for that campaign, I must have missed it.
