I'm usually not a demonic type of deck person but this one isn't bad. Very creative.

Love the card back and the aces, not so much of a fan of the courts unfortunately

Well I totally am, but not a skull demon type (prefer winged & horned). Still, that tuck could be pretty bad ass. I'm looking forward to this one.

While I like that they are both fully custom and extend close to the edge (ie the faces have thin borders :ugdance: ), I also would like to see something more than just skull versions of classic courts. Wings and horns would be nice.

And I like the intricacy of the back design, but it seems to be missing something by only having two contrasting colors (is white a color?). Might just be my subjective opinion though.

Redesign time to make this totally awesome! With some tweaks and making the courts looking like the tuck would be a sure FIRE hit, I bet many of the Arcana fans would jump in too.

Don't see anything wrong with these cards. The tuck box has thin white borders around every edge just in case it shifts.

This is how you make courts cards with the indices as close as possible to the cut border and he makes the court itself with a thin border on the top and bottom. His court is filled out on the right and left and is proportional. That is a pretty good court.

His back of card has a center element with the "SS" and he is using a top and bottom duel element with integrate corner badges. Pretty popular nowadays. Usually, people use white negative space between all 3 elements, but he choses red and black which looks to be skulls and bones.

Yep have to say this is good example on how to use all of card and the tuck box is not bad.

I like the courts. I like the backs and I love the tucks.
But, there's a little bit of a disconnect for me between the design styles.
Perhaps a big part of it is the color differences - all that gray and yellow on the front and none on the back.

I agree. For some themes the classic court attires are just too out of place. Even though these are less classic than they could have been, the heavy use of yellow feels very familiar. As if a near-standard court palette (red, blue, yellow) was used as the starting point and "dulled" or darkened by the gray to fit the theme more - it just wasn't enough IMO.

The courts strangely remind me of the KW standards, especially the queen. Im not sure about that back tho, its pretty darn busy, but overall not too bad a start

I can definitely agree with the KW standards (not that I am complaining). The yellow is what's making me personally lean that way. Looking back at the past couple of years with court cards with skulls (Skull&Bones, Brimstone, Quicksilver, etc.), would be nice to have a change of look. Not like Quicksilver's, but maybe a mix of anatomically correct with Uusi's style...? Nevertheless, was a huge fan of Four Beasts and am loving these

Hey guys!

Thanks for all the feedback. I love all the suggestions and I will incorporate it to the deck to make it tie into the tuck box theme more. I agree with you, the more I look into the yellow/gold, it hurts my eyes lol.

Maybe another trip down to hell will do the job.
I'll update you guys on how the trip goes!

So after some of your feedbacks I decided to treat the Queen and Jack for a return trip down to hell.

I guess during the trip they picked up some more hellish traits and a few souvenirs.
I did not want to lose all the gold so maybe I might be changing the back and tuck box to incorporate some of the gold there.

Hope you like the update :ugking:

Those extra touches are fantastic! - the more tarnished gold works much better to and will look fantastic on the back with the red and black. Looking forward to see what you do with it!

Agree, MUCH improved!

Personally I prefer totally custom courts, tradition be damned. I still would prefer dumping the traditional clothes and go full on demon horde, but I'm weird. I think you have a good balance to appeal to a wider prospective backers/buyers this way and I'm still very interested. Please continue to post updates and when 'coming soon' becomes more definitive.

Quote all of the above - awesome revisions! At first, I thought the background change from the yellow to the gray was a bit dark at the queen's hands, but I change my mind. I think the color transition is easier on the eyes and is balanced well with the white goblin/demon heads

Seriously though, these are looking good. The back still needs a colour tie-in though.

Also could see some of the intricate patterning on the back being used around the court heads, or perhaps a little white space being introduced into the back, or both. That might tie the graphics together better too.

I'm really liking these new updates and just LOVE that back and tuck! I'm torn about the traditional attire/pose still though, on one hand I would have preferred to see a more custom look, this will mean I'll need to buy an extra set to play cards with...So I guess that means I'll be getting 2 instead of just 1 which is guess is the smarter move for you. For me it just means I'll have a deck for the collection and one to play with, but they will be more like a top 50 deck instead of top 10 deck for me personally.

Still love it though, great job and thanks for listening and making these changes!

Any more meaning behind 'soon'? When might we expect to see these and will it be a Kickstarter project?

Haha thanks for the reply. Yeh I think more touch of custom would make it look better.
I might go back and have a change with the king as I am not 100% satisfied at it.

But I agree, I think I have to keep it somewhat traditional for a certain degree of audience. Unlike with sishou Four Beasts, it is fully custom. I want to try something different this time :P

anyways, here is the lonely Jack of Hearts sulking after a lonely valentines day.

Heeeey, You're back with a new deck, Can't wait for my Four beasts one to arrive.

I must admit I'm loving these satanic skull courts with the strange tusk and horn action. Make me think of an artist I love called Jeremy fish.
