I've backed these. Ive got all the other decks in the whispering imps series and I'm a sucker for completeness. I backed a brick with the private reserve. All I need a I get now is one of the gold private reserves in the series.
I can't say I'm overly keen on the indices but get why they're there. The back design is simple but I don't mind it.

Hello Gamesters Backers!

I can't thank you enough for your continued support of the Gamesters playing cards. So excited that they will be printed and in the hands of all of you later this year!

I also want to thank you for your patience with the final announcement of the release of the Limited Editions. I've been in Australia for the past month managing the Band of Magicians show at the Crown Casino in Melbourne and so I've been carefully managing my time as well so that I can get the Limited Editions ready for you.

All great news below!

First things first, the Limited Editions will be printed at the same time as the Standard Editions. This means there won't be any delays in shipping both editions at the same time. At the moment there are no plans to reprint the Standard Edition Gamesters, and as you all know by now, there will only ever be 1000 of each color of the Limited Edition Gamesters printed.

Quick recap of what you get with the Limited Edition Gamesters.

- 2 new decks (Silver Edition & Gold Edition) each limited to 1000 - Tuck Boxes feature a second layer of foil & embossing

- Foil on back of each playing card: available in Red Ink w/ Silver Foil "WI" Logos & Black Ink w/ Gold Foil "WI" Logos (an option rarely seen in playing cards that only EPCC can provide)

- 2 Deck sets will come in a custom 2 deck box branded with Gamesters logo.

How will they be released?
Okay, this is the question that I've been asked by nearly everybody since the first announcement was made. I've spent a lot of time trying to work out the best way to present the Limited Editions so that everyone can keep their pledge tiers locked in.

On January 26, 2015 a brand new Kickstarter campaign will be launched for the Limited Edition Gamesters. This campaign will run for 5 days (ending on January 31, 2015). As loyal backers, you will all receive the preview link before anyone else. I've made special pledge tiers that I think will make everyone happy and you'll have options to get the special box set in addition to individual LE decks.

I believe this is the most fair and accurate way to release the LE Gamesters and I hope that you will all join me on Jan. 26 for the launch.

Haven't seen any pics either. Since they're LE Gamesters I would imagine they're going to be the same as the Gamesters themselves but with foil on the card backs. My guess is red with silver and black with gold. I like the design and I'm pretty much an Imps addict so odds are I'll be in for sure.

Well lately I've been trying to add more unique decks to my collection, rather than just buy every deck that comes out. I missed out on the original WI's so I wasn't in a hurry to get these. Plus I don't own any decks like these currently like rounders or wynns. Minimal isn't my thing.

However if these have gold and silver foil stamped on, now they aren't so simple. Which means I want them.

In short, I hope it's not an offense to you, but I wasn't digging the simplicity, but I LOVE when foil is on the cards. (I even bought those ugly exquisite bold and they are still one of my faves.)

So now I want the LE's. If it's any consolation, I like the original Imps, but I ain't paying the price tag of what they cost now.

What's wrong with a morning launch? I "Actually work" and morning is fine for me and millions of others who work the hours I do and midday would be fine for still countless others. There are 24 time zones so no matter the time it will benefit some and inconvenience others. What you mean is it would benefit You. Self interest is fine but saying things like "for the benefit of us who actually work" is condescending. insensitive and rude.

I agree about knowing the launch time. Heck for me the best launch time is 11PM-12AM when I get in from work. Morning is OK. I can get up early. Midday is a pain. I can do it from work but getting around the internet filter takes a few minutes and sometimes doesn't work when I try to pledge.

It's just easier to do it at home on a computer and some people may not have the best internet were they work. But yes it will always be good for some and bad for others no matter what time, but knowing the time is always best either way.

All very true and right on target. I can't argue with any of that. Your initial comment was harsh and seemed to imply others don't work. A simple "Hey, sorry to hear of your troubles and the delay. Could you give us a heads up on the new time". (Something I am sure Chris would have done anyway)

Funny thing is, in the update he sent out after the end of the campaign, Chris pretty much says just that, "You will all be the first people to receive the official launch date and time so stay tuned in the coming days. "

Backers of the original Gamesters Kickstarter will be the first to be notified of the launch date & time. This was a promise made to them for being original backers. The Limited Edition Gamesters were to be launched today, however due to an unexpected Kickstarter review it has been delayed a few days.

too bad I'm in the UK!! I know the release time can't be great for everyone but the UK market has to be the worst time out of all. 1am!! Not a moan as like I say, it just won't fit for everyone. Just an observation! Us Brits seem to always get the short straw when it comes to collecting cards.

So sorry @SpecialK it was an oversight on my part. It's the same link that was sent to backers on Jan. 24th in Update #7. That preview link will still work when the project goes live. I have made the preview link public and can share with the forum:

I hear ya. I tried to find time that works for everyone around the world...but I couldn't. If anyone knows of the best time for future projects, please let me know. That being said...the PR Red/Gold tier has a limit of 10...however only 5 will be released tonight at the launch...and and the remaining 5 sets will be released at 10am (GMT) on Thursday Jan. 29 so that there is an opportunity for most anyone interested from European countries to pledge.

This is too true. When calculating pledge amounts you should always use X+1 to take this into account.
