It's a cute art deck, but USPCC make decks with 56 cards not 54. Their decks are a bit expensive. 1 Regular deck is $16. I don't see it making it's goal with the USPCC, but maybe with MPC or something similar with a lower goal. I don't see a big demand for these.

Hi, Im the creator of this deck. The extra two cards will be index cards, so you can see the name of the critters.

There's a lot of creators that think printing with USPC equals success but it doesn't guarantee nothing. I think most of the failures on KS should consider starting off small with MPC or someone else with a low goal and a USPC stretch goal which at least increases their chances of at least being produced, instead of just ending up with failure.

Although i like these type of decks ,the illustrations are not quite up to par for me, also the deck Reminds me of the Simon Drew pack`s printed by British Heritage.
I agree that this type of deck would be better off being printed by MPC.

Welcome. You might want to change it to 56 cards and show the index cards. We all know USPCC makes 56 card decks. MPC might be a good option if you don't make it. They print decks in any amount. Great for demo decks too. I would say EPCC and Legends as a stretch goal, but they only print 54 cards on a 9 x 6 uncut sheet. You would lose your 2 index cards. YOur back of card is "1-way", but that is what we should expect from an art deck, but It's close enough to looking like a "2-way". Nice Job. A "2-way" or mirror images of your back of card would look a lot better.

Daily Critter pun based playing cards.

Unread post by albertog72 »

The Daily Critter playing cards is a deck of 54 pun based critters. Every card was hand-painted and hand-lettered using water colors.
All the faces, aces and jokers have puns related to the name of the cards. Any questions, I'll be happy to answer them. This is the

I'm a sucker for something different. I love symmetry though... so Id also like a 2 way back at least too. But I'm not one to stifle creativity.

I was always going to back this though as my wife has the dad humor in the family so I get to watch the kids and everyone else rolling their eyes at her. She would love this one so I'm getting one for the collection and one for a gift.

So although stuff like monarchs, gnostic, and owl eyes are more to my taste this one give me the warm fuzzies and gets my money with that alone.

I agree as well. I think it is highly recommended that most new creators start off small, with a low goal and printed by MPC, and have stretch goals so that if the project does really well it can be printed by Legends or USPC or EPCC. And if not at the very least it has a chance of being funded and printed, which is the ultmate goal for any creator. Too many decks on Kickstarter fail simply because they start off with high hopes and unrealistic goals of getting a USPC deck, most of which would have funded if they simply started off with a low goal. Many of which then relaunched with a lower goal in the end, which often ends up hurting the project because it is seen as a downgrade. I think many think that having a USPC deck is make or break and that anything Bicycle branded will fund, but is far from the truth. So start small and let the funding dictate what happens is my recommendation for any creator on Kickstarter.

The stock at MPC is terrible :-(

I got a couple of prototypes made and they are just shocking stock. My opinion is its not worth doing if you have to do it with MPC.....
