I don't see the reason for launching another one of these, one was enough. Too expensive for most anyhow.

I would like to hear feedback on this one from those that bought the first deck.. I did not pledge the first time but thinking about it right now. It does cost a pretty penny

i'd like a deck of these but they're just too expensive.
Feeding the addiction one deck at a time.

These are cool but too expensive for me being as how I don't shoot my playing cards. If I did though, I'd probably be all over these bulletproof ones. Pew pew pew!
TL:DR It's completely up to you.
We can still be friends.
I actually like playing cards.

Re: Carbon Fiber Playing Cards! Now with Bulletproof Kevlar!
I picked up a full-house set from the last one. I have to say, they got me hooked. The cards are near indestructible. If you had to buy one last deck to last the rest of your life, this would probably be it. Of course, this implies that the deck will actually be used. For collecting, you'd be better off finding something that looks prettier. Standard everything, but material. The backs had no markings/artwork at all, other than the inherent pattern of the woven carbon fiber, or kevlar. Still, it's a unique look.
That being said, I pledged for one deck of Carbon Fiber. Most I've ever spent on a deck, by far. (I did pick up a Steel deck for $65, but that's another rarity for me.) With the Zenith deck being the highest in original cost for all my paper cards. Coolness of Carbon Fiber was the deciding factor for me.
I don't see myself ever paying that much for another deck of cards. I still put a cap @ $20, and the only decks I've gotten at that level are few and far between.
Definitely a niche market for either the well-off, or obsessed, but definitely not for the casual collector.
The only other deck that tempted me to put out more than $100 was Uusi's Silver-foiled Blue-Blood Redux.

If anyone is interested in an EB kevlar pledge level, let me know as i will be dropping mine. That Arcana gilded pledge is forcing me to be a bit more selective

Darn it. Why did you tell me that. I can't afford the EB pledge you just caused me to makebadpete69 wrote:If anyone is interested in an EB kevlar pledge level, let me know as i will be dropping mine. That Arcana gilded pledge is forcing me to be a bit more selective
