I asked Erik if we can't add on Dragon Tome decks (or just pledge for decks?).

I'm sure he will be by... Frankly, the deck looks OK, but I am just not an ephemera collector, though I end up with a few coins and a spare poker chip here and there.

The FAQ at the bottom seems to answer that question:
Can I just buy X separately?

The short answer is no. The long answer involves lessons that we learned from doing multiple projects with Kickstarter. We've learned that whenever we start allowing for items as add-ons, it increases our cost during fulfillment.

In order for us to be able to get the product price for this so low, we have to make everything exactly the same. It allows us to save money because every product is put together in exactly the same way and because there aren't any variations, it can be done as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Any extras we have after the project will be posted on our website at albinodragon.com
Personally, I'd buy the deck and the figure for about $15-20 max together, shipping included, or just the deck for $10-12. I have no interest at all in the coin or dice, and I'm not willing to pay $30 for the cards and figure, so at this point I simply have "Remind me" starred. I don't see $30 as a miraculously low price such that even if I don't want half the stuff it's still worth it.

Not bad. The back is pretty cool. The jacks and queens are pretty decent on the trailer as well.

I like the back. Mostly dark with a little color. The fairy is telling a little story with water coming out of her hands. Hell, I would say that would be a pretty good tattoo. You can't say that for most backs. However, I don't like the KoS. The dragon looks upside down. Am I suppose to be looking at the top or bottom? Cards should be consistent.

All that stuff for $30 isn't bad but I'm just not sold on it completely. Maybe it's the card backs, so awkward.

So the Kings are "2-way" and the Queens are "1-way"? Hmm, I don't know... I guess they are all going to be "1-way". The indexes and fonts are better. The thingamajig below the suit index is neat. Guess it's a dragon staff.

Consistency is important in deck design. Looks like they got a decent designer to replace Shane, he's just not really a deck designer. Shame...

This. But hmm they are pretty close to their goal. Sadly i think both shane and albino are struggling without each other.

Yeah, not likely, although $3000 in 19 hours is possible. I don't Shane is any worse off, really. We shall see after a few more months.

The fact that we’ve funded over $175,000 and are ahead of schedule on all of our projects, I wouldn’t exactly say that we’ve been hurting.

Didn't say otherwise, Eric. I have seen quite a few project zoom right on through the barricade here lately. Nice one!

Needed $3000 on the last day and made $4500 from 53 new backers. unusual but I don't really think suspect.

That wasn't meant to be an accusation. Just seems really weird that they struggled for so long and the somehow manage to get $4000 in the last couple of hours.

We had a lot of backers that wanted to see the project succeed but were limited to only one pledge level. We opened up a few higher pledge levels for special limited edition decks and a lot of backers changed their reward level to them. Now they'll be the owners of a run that will be limited to only a few hundred. It's not uncommon for a lot of backers to hold off until a project has successfully funded and then jump on board in the eleventh hour.

I hear ya... but lets think it out ..... if you were in such a position what would you do?

1 - Somehow pay for 50+ new backers to join the last hours of the campaign.

2 - Ask one or two close backers to each kick in 2000 to their pledge

both ways you'd pay and both ways gets you over the top but #2 is gonna be a lot easier and probably cheaper.

Easy there Jose. It wasn't like that. He actually listened to our request to create new tiers with more rewards. Specifically one with a second deck. It was far from last minute.

I recommend you moderate your replies, they tend to get pretty personal.

I didn't back this project though I said it was well priced. I don't see a problem with anyone getting their project funded whether if it's wack or not as long as they deliver at the end. I wouldn't be surprised if Jose gives a 20 minute review of this deck. ;)

We've had that discussion already, I don't see how this adds anything of relevance. If this was on PCF I would downvote that post without hesitating.

No this is different. We aren't talking about a licenced deck like Goonies, we are talking about a deck that he could ship worldwide but he is choosing not to do so and I don't understand why, but it's his loss. Sorry if I come across negative but in a recent project I paid him $80 and only got half of what I paid for and he isn't responding to my messages regarding it so i'm not happy with Erik or Albino Dragon or his lack of interest in international customers. His lack of response to something so simple seems questionable to me. He should be responding to customers and their issues/concerns, not ignoring them especially after getting their money.

Backs were awful, new design is ok. People anted just the deck without the extra stuff so this is good for them. I'm on the fence.
