Re: Copper Rarebits
Lessee - IIRC, last year the rarebit was thrown in with a $50 purchase and they were "eXtremely limited" at 500 (with the rest being put in the archive, etc)
This year you can buy the copper ones straight out and they are "limited". (not eXtremely limited, though)
So, it is a bit disingenuous of Bayme to clayme that last year's sold out in a "record-shattering 16 hours" when the circumstances were completely different.

Re: Copper Rarebits
And they're basically repeating courts. Don't care for the restaurant, don't care for the deck, don't care for the artificial "rarity". Easy pass.

Re: Copper Rarebits
These look better than the original. If people knew these were coming out in the future, they probably wouldn't got the first ones. By the price of the deck, the courts are acceptable.

Re: Copper Rarebits
Ah, I remember when the originals came out I was still in the "want these because they're rare" phase. Now as (pretty much) the same deck is released for a low price, I look at it and go "...meh, no thanks".
Man, this hobby really makes you jaded (although I'm not complaining, if it didn't I would be a lot poorer

Re: Copper Rarebits
I was thinking the same thing! The only visual difference is a tiny color variation. It's hard to justify the difference in price when one is theoretically $94 more. But I, like Magik, don't hold as much stock in the "rare because it's rare" thing anymore.Bikefanatic wrote:These look better than the original. I think as time goes on, and as you collect more and more, you think of the "core" of your collection as being those decks you really like and which you return to.
And then you realize that those are the kinds of decks that you really want and not as much for the rest.
And since you can't buy everything (at least I can't) you do have to do some filtering and then I think it's only natural to focus more and more tightly on the decks that have those aspects you feel most strongly about.

Re: Copper Rarebits
Hope you're not going by how many you can put in the card, since I just put 1,000,000 in.
I'm with walrus on this - I was just so ready for a deal and everything was disappointing, I just got some (along with a couple of tycoons).
(Heck, if Blaine was on time, I may not have gotten anything at t11)

I think he may be right. You can add them to your cart but when you go to check out they're no longer there. And I was going to buy a few more too, damn.ecNate wrote:Really? Doesn't show that here yet.BLACKWHITE wrote:SOLD OUT!

Re: Copper Rarebits
Looks like the back design is actually the front of the deck and the other side that says Rarebit is the back side? Well you can display it either way.

They got some error with system or inventory - were SOLD OUT, but now again you can buy them - looks like over 700 in stock.

Just add, lets say, 10000 decks to your cart, then press checkout, you'll be redirected to a new page informing that they only have XXX in stock!ecNate wrote: OK, what am I missing here? How can you tell how many are in stock?

Re: Copper Rarebits
Hmmm, they went from about 2600 decks available to 700 in about 12 days. It wouldn't surprise me if on their website they "adjusted" their available inventory down to create artificial "rarity". I'm going to guess even after these "sell out", we'll still see plenty available in future promotions. In all likelihood, they printed thousands and thousands of these decks, therefor they're not that rare. At least these are priced decently.BLACKWHITE wrote:They got some error with system or inventory - were SOLD OUT, but now again you can buy them - looks like over 700 in stock.

Web site is definitely showing sold out now, but I do expect they've held some back for promotions.

Re: Copper Rarebits
I gotta say, I'm not a fan of how T11 releases so many "limited" decks that go right out of stock. Red Monarchs? Sentinels? Rebels? These Rarebits? What the hell is so special about these decks? What on earth are they trying to accomplish? There's no reason for them to be "limited" ESPECIALLY the Copper Rarebits since the version before it was limited. I griped about this before but keeping the listing of all the rare decks like the JAQKs and White Centurions as "sold out" next to a $4.95 price tag is adding insult to injury. If you're not going to restock Animal Kingdom decks, get them off your damn site! Handlordz is another culprit. I would almost give E credit because the non-limited/rare decks they release are always in stock. I say almost because really, all retailers should do this. But I guess in the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king.

Re: Copper Rarebits
Correct, sold out. T11 stated a few days ago that they're sold out. Sure we'll be seeing them available in the archive eventually though, same as the OG Rarebits were available for a spell.Wilko wrote:So are these sold out now??
