Re: New Ellusionist Deck - Absinthe
So about the error... If they're going to fix it, they can't be releasing it within the next couple of weeks since they'll still have to reprint the tuck... or maybe they'll just leave it as is and it'll be one of those things you can use to distinguish v1 and v2 (if there is ever a v2).

I doubt (and sincerely hope) that they won't leave it. My impression of E is that they are - and strive to be - professional, and I don't think they would put a faulty product out there as long as they catch it in time to correct it.Sher wrote:So about the error... Re: New Ellusionist Deck - Absinthe
As I was reading your response I felt exactly the same way. But then one thing stood out to me- the Infinity tuck case. The embossing was all messed up but they sold it anyway. Obviously small potatoes compared to something that could go wrong with a deck of playing cards but it's just an example.MagikFingerz wrote:I doubt (and sincerely hope) that they won't leave it. Re: New Ellusionist Deck - Absinthe
As Mike mentioned, we have 6 new 100% custom and individually unique decks coming out. The typo has already been corrected for the 2nd printing of Absinthe. Due to the time restraints and the sheer amount of labour that went into getting the Absinthe tuck to the way it is (Just wait till you see it in person!) taking into account the rest of the surprises we have in store for you - the 6 + weeks it would take to reprint, foil, emboss, stamp, pack and ship tuck's to our WH would *foil* our epic plans for everyone. See what I did there? Pour a little absinthe, crack these bad boys open and they may even start to look like Rum...

It's red and gold and orange and I already want it based on colors I see.
TL:DR It's completely up to you.

Not that I think this tease is it but does anyone know when the next "element" deck will be released (Fathom, Ignite...)?

Re: New Ellusionist Deck - Absinthe
I like the rank index font. The suit index is nice. You can play solitaire with these...
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/73 ... sts/759318
I didn't see a suit indicator. Who knows it might be on the right of the QoH. These are custom courts.
Back seems fine. Can't bitch about the "A" and I see thin borders. That's a plus.
So it seems we have a broken tuck box. I might suggest making it a limited tuck box. YOu might want to do this. RussellSprouts

Induldged tuck or not, I wants. I really like the courts going full bleed, the colors, and the back.

"Induldged" is a French word; everybody knows that. It means, "Job opening: copy editor."

Re: New Ellusionist Deck - Absinthe
Will any of these new 6 decks be at Kickstarter or directly sold at the e-shop?

Re: New Ellusionist Deck - Absinthe
I doubt we'll ever see a company like Ellusionist go through Kickstarter, so these will be sold via their own site as usual.
Yes, I might be the guy you remember from that thing at that place way back when.

Re: New Ellusionist Deck - Absinthe
Pretty sure that was a hint towards at least a Rum deck (probably pictured). So perhaps we are looking at a 6 deck booze themed series all being released at once...petermckinnon wrote: Pour a little absinthe, crack these bad boys open and they may even start to look like Rum...

Re: New Ellusionist Deck - Absinthe
All these liquor related decks remind me of Stranger & Stranger (who is well known for designing liquor bottles). Dunno if that's where E got inspiration, but I like the style they're going with and I'm definitely excited for this series

Re: New Ellusionist Deck - Absinthe
Yep, this is the Prohibition series. (A guess, sure, but considering the Prohibition picture they posted I'm pretty confident. ) My guess is it's some kind of wooden case or similar with one or two of each in it.Paul Middleton wrote:Pretty sure that was a hint towards at least a Rum deck (probably pictured). Re: New Ellusionist Deck - Absinthe
Version 2 is now available to Black Club members:
Black Club Members Only. Brought to you from the Prohibition series by popular demand, with a few minor design tweaks, these cards embody the allure of the emerald drink, the hallucinogenic haze, sugar crystals in the night, the Ace of Spades modelled after the filigree of the absinthe spoon. With its heavy embossing and text that pokes fun at itself, even the box appears to have had a few drinks.

When did they giveaway 52 proof? I don't recall it. They say absinthe V2 is #5 but I recall it to be #4.

Re: New Ellusionist Deck - Absinthe
This is exactly why this blackclub is bullshit, if they were truly offering the decks to the members, have it be redeemable during their membership period instead of giving a deadline to ordering, drives up shipping so that you hopefully get a few other decks together with it, its all marketing and hardly a real attempt to give back to the customers.

I gave up on Ellusionist's Black club a long time ago. Absolutely not worth the money.

Sent a message and here's the reply
There is a two week window to get the free deck. That's BS. I can guarantee they won't be getting me to renew. Consider this some bought experience.Hello!
They are not guaranteed - they are simply being offered for 2 weeks at a time. If you ever want to check if you missed an email, you can look at this page: http://www.ellusionist.com/black_club_decks" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
