When I started through the checkout there was $21.95 shipping internationally for a brick, by the time I actually got to the end of the process it was $50+.... (=abandoned cart )
First of all, I am NOT justifying DB's intnl shipping rate of $52.95 per brick, that's ridiculous. But even if you paid that rate, you still would be getting the Silver Split Spades at around $7.16 per deck (if you get a brick). Let's just say that DB sold the Silver Split Spades at $6.95 per deck (very reasonable for a custom deck, especially one this nice) and only charged $7.00 for intnl shipping per brick, most people (outside the US) would consider that the best Black Friday bargain of them all. It stillworks out at the same price either way, just a matter of perspective.
The good news for those outside of the US is that you could probably get friends in the US to get a brick for the crazy cheap price of $33.00 and ship it out via USPS International Priority Flat Rate and still get a steal.
Purchased a brick of these this morning, now when I go back to the site they are not available -- rather listed as "Coming Soon". Guess some of us got lucky this AM ?
God please tell me, the $33 price was not a mistake ...
EDIT : No, DB confirmed the price on twitter, it may have been a special window release at a discounted price. I'll guess we will know for sure sunday.

my shipping was 21.95 for a brick. So it would cost even cheaper to order 1 brick twice as the medium box fills up to 5 bricks.
Also. Someone asked about the handling of the Silver SS on twitter and David replied that were as good as the white lions. Didnt say which series though. But I am guessing its the series B, as they were all printed around the same time.
“@JamesKaine: @davidblaine is the quality as good as the older versions? I'm worried about how cheap the price is” as good as white lions

We had the silver split spades on sale for $2.75 a deck yesterday.
Hopefully you bought some because we'll never be selling them for that low a price again.

Well at least their honest, these are once again on their site but at more than double the price, only $13.90 for 2, still cheap but not quite as cheap as before. And a brick is around $77. Glad I got mine on Friday.
I think people are funny. When these were first announced, pretty much everyone drooled over these and were hoping these wouldn't be too expensive. Then when Blaine released the Silver Split Spades Lions early for a Black Friday special selling them for ridiculously low price, a lot of people were suspicious and didn't buy them and even tweeted Blaine questions asking if these were low quality because they were so inexpensive. Now that they're going to be sold at their regular price (which is still very reasonable for a custom deck of this quality and good looks - Blaine's not pulling a D&D), some of the people who passed on these are now saying they weren't interested in the first place or are still insisting the quality sucks. That's fine, more for the people who can really appreciate them. I'm glad I picked up two bricks at the special low price!
I agree with Alric here.
Don't know why but i never asumed that the SS Silver Edition would be crap just because of the price tag.
The WL Series B were not as good as the Series A but still a quality deck.
People getting suspicious when a company doesnt tries to suck all of your money at once.
I repeat myself but this was the only real Black Friday deal.
Next time dont hesitate when you get a good offer at David Blaine's shop.
alric is right. what is up with all these people saying its gonna be poor quality? its DB's deck for god sake. now on the other hand if someone decides to price their decks 10 or 15 dollars a deck on KS suddenly no one questions the quality. Most of them have never printed decks before. i do know people buy them more for the design but wats the point if only the design matters and the deck handles like crap. you dont even need USPCC just print them on your computer. i am kind of off the topic but the point is if you dont want them fine more for ppl like us who do want them lol
I said it sounds like they might be, not that they are. Again, earlier in the thread I said they would be my first DB cards. Myself along with everyone else in the thread was blown away by the low price DB set the cards at. At first glance it looked a bit fishy, that's all.
Sorry, I wasn't trying to give the impression that they are junk cards. The web description made it seem like they are selling 'B-stock' (not bee stock) cards and they didn't stand behind them. Now I realize they meant it because the price was so low.
From a marketing standpoint, it was poorly worded. In an age where we have to read between the lines it struck me as odd.
I just wish he had used the word "SALE" anywhere on the page.
BTW, $150 boxed sets w/t-shirt still available.....(if they wait until all 400 are sold to pick the 15min Skype winner it may never be picked - recall the deck in a bottle where the marketing plan was to keep raising the price).
Also consider that there were only 5 of each box w/shirt and they're all still in stock!

I would had got myself such a box but the $53 shipping is heavy and kills the deal. (would end in $13 (10€) a deck shipped to Germany)
When i bought the WL in half bricks i paid with shipping $8,30 (6,50€) a deck.
Received my Silver SS today ... Was so shocked ... All the decks are defects ... Double seals & hole in the corner . Quite disappointed actually , previously I thought DB was the only one that really gives promotions on Black Friday , but now...

The double seal is not a big problem for me but what do you mean by hole in the corner??? Could you please post a picture.
I never had any problems with decks from DB, and the Silver Split Spades I got were absolutely gorgeous. I'm usually not a fan of metallic ink because I don't think they really look metallic anyways, but the two exceptions are the Mana decks and the Silver Split Spades, both of those decks look great with the silver backs.
I've seen others occasionally have issues with their decks from DB, and I think the customer service over there has always been very good about replacing defective decks. Double deck seals is not a big deal at all, but if your deck came with holes, that sounds like a problem and like others who have posted already, I'd like to see photos of your damaged decks.
