@Lotrek - Now is the time to sneak them an Unmasked card. Get that bump. Hope you have a couple more unmasked cards after the goal is met.

You have a point there Russel, I was thinking about the same. I'll probably reveal some courts before the funding goal is reached.sprouts1115 wrote:@Lotrek - Now is the time to sneak them an Unmasked card. Get that bump. Hope you have a couple more unmasked cards after the goal is met.

Thanks "Guapo"! Hints? Hmm... Let's say that the Signature edition will have a feature that will make it truly unique. This time the interesting part will not be only on the tuck case.chach wrote:Congratulations Lotrek! I'm pretty sure I mentioned this before, but it bears repeating. Please write up a mini story in words that explains what is happening to the characters between the decks. If it reads like a micro novel even better. If you can also fit it on a card or two in the deck that would be ideal, but even a page on your website would be super cool.

Re: "Venexiana Dark" by Lotrek: KS Oct 5th, 6PM EDT
I don't really care for the unmasked QoC. I'm not saying the artwork isn't great but the reasoning for why Lotrek "showed" more on this card is why I have a problem with it. If it had been planned, that's one thing, but he stated that the "boys" wanted him to show more. That reasoning is tasteless and immature. I wanted to cancel my pledge due just to show my opinion but I am a collector and don't want to miss out on the signature series. The grotesque are so beautiful that I want these as well.
Feeding the addiction one deck at a time.

Re: "Venexiana Dark" by Lotrek: KS Oct 5th, 6PM EDT
This thread had been showing unmasked versions of the cards since the middle of August... quite planned as per an early post of Lotrek stating he was opening up parts of his design process for this deck unlike his previous works.Cbkimble wrote:I don't really care for the unmasked QoC. Not to attack your sensibilities...but she's a prostitute for goodness sake. Gotta show the goods if you wanna sell 'em. You can't blur the lines with depictions of con-men, murder, poisoning and whatever the other dude is doing with that leg and redraw it when a nipple shows up. That's not how it works.
And there are big differences between burlesque, artistic nude, erotica and downright porn. While I'm not bothered by the nip slip at all, and I vote to keep it as is, I can understand your point. Perhaps a more burlesque approach would work just as well. Like having her covering the tiny controversial area with a feather or her hand for example.

Re: "Venexiana Dark" by Lotrek: KS Oct 5th, 6PM EDT
First, I'm not "showing more" on this card only. My original intention was just to have the courts without a mask for the revealed edition. But when some guys made that joke about me showing more of the QoC I said: "Wait, this is a good idea not only for her but for all courts. I can change more things than just drop the mask". For a prostitute it's a very normal shift to have her showing her breast and I tried to have her showing as less as possible. Half nipple I think is okayCbkimble wrote:I don't really care for the unmasked QoC. @Lotrek - One nipple on one card is ok. It makes the deck noble and defiant all at the same time. Is Sprouts Season over with? How long is it?

As a former teacher of mine once said, "I may be old but I ain't dead." I don't think there's an end to Sprouts season til the blue pills don't work or you're 6' under.sprouts1115 wrote:@Lotrek - One nipple on one card is ok. As for the deck, I find nothing wrong with it at all. I actually had to go back and take a closer look to see what the fuss is all about, and it's basically just a few pixels and on a card it will be smaller than the period at the end of this sentence. I've seen more poking out of women's tops on trips to the grocery store (no I ain't telling you all where I shop for groceries.)
