Mount Olympus Playing Cards - Live on KS

Unread post by Levereno »

We're all set and ready to hit kickstarter in 2 days! Cheers!

Thanks for all your immense help ! I Greatly appreciate it.

For those who are new, Mount Olympus Playing Cards features the 12 legendary Greek gods of the Mt. Olympus (a mountain where the ancient Greeks thought their gods and goddesses lived). These gods and goddesses got to be pretty darn famous in the known human history. From politics, blockbuster movies, architecture, government structure to common day buildings like White house, the greek culture/tradition and way of life has been pretty dang alive in today's world. Such a famous subject matter and we couldn't see ourselves doing something else. So to speak Mt. Olympus playing cards came to being. The 12 major gods and goddesses of the ancient Greeks in a clever form of 12 courts in a card.

In the course of 1 month we redid the design and went over it over and over again. Finally chiseling the design and tweaking it as much as possible.

Thanks all of your support, the project will go live today at 4:00 PM Pacific time. Thanks again.

Having the cards with red background will be interesting but having all the pips gold will cause some concerns.

Hello there!

What kind of concerns? We're planning to go gold foil after a decent strech goal. Otherwise the pips will have mono color of a LemonChiffon. No gradient, just a mono color of something between a LemonChiffon and a Khaki (color spectrum) if that helps your question.

Since the project is based in Canada, remember the conversion rates. Free shipping to Canada and U.S.

Uncuts = $43 CAD ( that's roughly around $38 USD) , ............ 1EB = $11 (Around $9 USD, Limited to 50).............1 Deck = $16 (Around $14 USD)

Make sure to hop in early, we have some *special* surprises which I'm sure you'll hate if you miss it.

That's pretty much it muchacho! Thanks for your support.

Concerns of how easily distinguishable the suits are at a glance, which affects how good they are to play actual card games with.

I'll do an update with enhanced suits designs once we go live and have the backers select the most suitable design.

So is shipping included to the US or not????????????????

EARLY BIRD SPECIAL! ============================= 1 Olympus Deck. ============================= FREE shipping to Canada & U.S! =============================

VS

Add $6 CAD to ship outside Canada

It won't let me claim it without pledging for shipping.

That's a blunder guys, just ignore it. Apologies!

I'll set up a new Early bird reward just for the U.S. backers and close the current one down. Just wait for a good 10 minutes.

-shipping is included, it's $11 CAD so roughly $9.77 USD , no need for extra shipping charges.

So your first image says that 1 deck is $15 for international buyers but Early bird with international shipping costs $17 and non early bird costs $26 (wow). I thought it was the price for an add-on but you have a different image for add-ons where an add-on for a single deck is $18.

Hi Yashi,

Ok so let me clear that up for you.

First of all the first EB that i created I forgot to check off the $6 extra fee. Which shouldn't ask you to charge extra $6 for shipping. It was 11CAD (9.50USD) for 1 deck only. International would have to pay an extra $6 CAD NOT USD, which means

11CAD + 6 CAD (For international shipping) = $15 and that's the same price I wrote on the first image.

Now this is the point where all this is confusing you. In the addon chart below it says $18 CAD Not USD. 18 CAD is roughly $15.50 , similar to the price I mentioned in the first picture.

read the addon chart again. It says Either pay 18CAD or 15USD = same thing when you convert em' cheif.

Hope that helps.

You really shouldnt interchange currencies on your project, its not like you can pledge in different currencies. It just causes confusion and misleads people. So i strongly urge you to go through the page again, and make the corrections.

Btw, the USPCC factory is no longer located in cinncinati, OH. Its now in erlanger, KY.

THanks, I did that to let people know that the cards aren't expensive. When you first come in a card project and you see a whopping $18 or $12 for an early bird you get scared and divert away. Without realising if it's USD, AUD or GDP and their confusing currency exchanges.

Since majority of the backers are situated in USA, it would help them compare how MUCH they are actually paying then what is said to be Canadian. It's to avoid confusion giving them a change to know how much they are paying in reality.

But I see that this in itself is confusing people.

If you really want to do that, perhaps you should adopt a more consistent approach, have it shown in both CAD & USD, 17 CAD (15 USD) in everywhere that a price is shown. Instead of having 15 USD here, 17 CAD there.

Easiest way to make it known is to put the basic conversion rate with a date. Since yea, you can't pledge in anything other than CAD. Could help out with eliminating confusion. These are today's conversion rates.

1.00 CAD = 0.89 USD
1.00 CAD = 0.55 GBP
1.00 CAD = 0.69 EUR
1.00 CAD = 1.01 AUD

Curious why the add-ons are so expensive though, add-on for a brick is $165 CAD. Pretty steep when the brick pledge is $135. What are the odds of seeing a photo of the hard sample of the coin before the campaign ends? I may need to bump up a pledge level and grab a coin + all that, whatness.

I just pledged $15 for an EB (ie 15 was the amount I typed in, 11 + 4). From the pledge description that should be correct, but from the discussion here it doesn't seem like it is.
