You know what? That box the S&M's come in looks like a cube. Could it be possible that these hold 12 decks instead of 6? That would make the priceing actually reasonable instead of the massive rip-off it seems like.....

After ten minutes watching at the D&D website, and after tons of blur photos and mixed lots of new versions, I still haven't found a clear photo of the new v7 deck. The super limited edition of the reprinted decks are different from the original ones in something more apart from the seals? Why the hell these visionaries of art and magic have not designed new decks instead of making money with the same again and make suicide all those crazy rich people outside who spent more than $100 for a couple of D&D?

I am sorry but this will explode soon indeed before the world ends on December as Mayan stated...

I am so torn about this one. On the one hand the Si Scott decks are just beautiful and I really want some, but lumping them in with all these others and forcing the price up to $100 with shipping is just too much. If they had made the original reprints available I would have bought a bunch of them. Maybe they will someday, wince they printed at minimum 60,000 decks for this little project.

The decks are the v3 - v7, so the borderless ones are v3.

I'm not really upset that they reprinted the other versions, but the price level is pretty outrageous. Almost $100 with shipping, seriously? For 6 decks? Which there was a print run of 10,000 for each deck? That's money grubbing at it's finest. I remember when I first got into cardistry and magic how much I admired the buck twins, now they just seem so greedy with little to no care for their customers.

For me the Smoke & Mirrors set ends at v6. Now they've redesigned the last few it feels as though you have to get all of those as the set to make it seem worth getting the Carbon version, so even if they do eventually release them individually I will possibly pass on those. It's as if they've disregarded v1-v6 and started again with new tweaks and new names, they're not even reffering to them as v7's.
The newly added logo on the front of the tuck case is nice but it's going to look out of place alongside the v1-v6 decks if you only want to Carbon Edition.

I was tempted to get this box for my collection of S&M cards.
With the coupon code i ended up (incl int shipping) on €13 a deck.
In worst case the package will get caught by the german customs then its €15 a deck.

Then i looked around saw the uncuts incl a new carbon deck.
But holy cow $31 shipping for one uncut sheet!


What i have noticed is that they had changed the court cards to be normal standard faces (with the recolouring of course)
Instead of the simplyfied court cards....thats a pitty because i loved the simple versions.

Well i think that i'm a bit different from a lot of you guys since i actually really love the backdesigns of V4 to V6. I'm just disappointed because D&D made a huge fuss about how awesome the V7 would be and how they got in contact with si scott again so i was hoping to see an all new backdesign for V7.

They made (at least) a 10,000 print run of 6 decks, so that's (at least) 60,000 decks they made just so they could jack up the price and make off like bandits taking our hard-earned money. God, I hope they over-estimated their popularity and aren't able to sell all these sets so these greedy idiots end up sitting on 50,000+ crappy, over-priced, imposter decks....

I'm assuming USPC gives better discounts when you order in volume, so there's all the likelihood D&D actually had to pay LESS per deck in this run, yet they're going to charge over $15.00 per deck! Its times like these I wish I had a Twitter account so I can tell D&D directly what pretentious, greedy bastards they are.

What ever happened to their promise of NEVER having v.1-6 reprinted? Damn, these guys are such sell-outs! If they ever lower the price on these, or sell the v.7 separately, I am going to boycott buying them out of principle. I agree with Flying Fisherman and will consider S&M v.1-6 as the official complete set, so I don't need the alleged v.7 along with it's other imitation decks in that set.

$31 is quite a bit - especially when bicyclecards.com will post two uncuts internationally for $16.99. (D&D are using Priority Mail compared with what I assume is First Class mail).

The weird thing though is that they charge $31 for one, and $60.50 for two! ($75 for 3 and $84 for 4). I'm sure it would cost almost nothing for posting the second uncut.
