Not crazy about the tuck. But if they have the same artist they used for Ghostbusters, it'll be a really nice deck.

I would've preferred just the title with the shoes. Very classy. :)

Yea the shoes look nice in the title. They may need to watch the box sides. Wouldn't want to see some blue on the side. Boxes don't stamp perfect you know.

If I only had a brain to make some good playing cards.

Trying to figure out who the 4th queen would be besides Dorothy, the wicked witch and the good witch. Maybe a flying monkey may be a Jack or Joker.

That'd be a good idea for a second deck, do it in B&W featuring the characters from Kansas while the color one features the ones from Oz.

I don't think you have to worry about the 4th queen. Eric has a lot of ladies to chose from. I think he has it all figured out. Oz is a big place. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_of_Oz

I don't thing think the flying monkey will be the Joker. I think he will be a Knave. Probably a black jack. JoC or JoS.

The Joker should be the twister with the house. You have to remember this was the time when people transitioned from black and white to color. The Major Joker should have a red roof and lots of color. At least 51% red. The minor Joker should be left black. The twister symbolize wild like the Joker. It makes sense. I remember watching black and white TV's and it sucked. Can you image going to the movies and seeing The Wizard of OZ at the theaters and have it transition from black and white to color for the first time...

@MagikFingerz - YOu should try this stuff I got it's good...

Oh really, is that what you see? Let me look again. All I see is a a good foundation for a "1-way" back, but Eric needs to give it the illusion of a "2-way" back. It looks pretty simple to me...

Good idea sprouts, the twister can be diptych Jokers. With the house up in the air etc. Also something involving the yellow brick road.

I would assume the 4 queens of North, South, East, and West. North and South would be red and East and West would be black.....

Man, we're making a whole lot of assumptions unless somebody has seen more than the pix in the IP. I haven't. Has Eric posted anything specific showing cards or even just courts yet?

I'm been digging in the rabbit hole. I perked up when I read this: "Together they escape the Fighting Trees, tread carefully through the China Country where they meet Mr. Joker, and dodge the armless Hammer-Heads on their hill. The Cowardly Lion kills a giant spider who is terrorizing the animals in a forest and he agrees to return there to rule them after Dorothy returns to Kansas. Dorothy uses her third wish to fly over the Hammer-Heads' mountain, almost losing Toto in the process."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wonderful_Wizard_of_Oz

I never knew there was a Mr. Joker. Maybe he was something like this:

Im a not a fan of this art style, and the tuckbox really needs a step up (as with all their tucks). But then again classy has never been their MO.

From Facebook, looks like they are doing this one right with a classic and non-cartoon look, but the background on this one is distracting. Shows potential though. Per the copyright they must be doing it right and using the WB movie version of the characters. This one could be a winner. Most likely it also means USA only or limited distribution due to licensing....still lots of questions.

It will definitely be US only. They wrote a blog a month or so ago stating that they no longer ship internationally even from their website. So the only way to get their current and future decks is through official distributors. Looking forward to this deck :)

When is it going live? I bet more people will probably get the limited ones instead of unlimited.

I'd go for the colorized one as well. I like the B/W courts but those wooden planks not at all.

Kinda funny how the colored courts looks cartoony but that and the b/w courts are the same pictures. Wooden planks could go well with colored courts but I guess contrast may be the point.

I'll go for one of each. I just don't like the $15 price tag but I'm still in.

If anyone outside the US wants a deck, let me know.

Interesting he is doing UK shipping only. I would think you could also do Canada (zone 2) and Mexico (zone 3). I'm thinking he has a good trusted UK whole seller that can do good packaging. Here comes a pallet of cards!
