Make collection views sortable (default to alphabetical)
Having the collection views is awesome, but they should default to be sorted alphabetically. The grid version is sorted based on deck ID and the list view I'm not sure. If other features are added like rank, date added to collection, etc then these also could be sortable. Being able to also sort by how rare a deck is (number printed) and by year printed would be really neat from both individual collection and full database.
Making the column header title clickable as the action to sort based on that column would do.
Perhaps a 2 stage implementation as set the default to be properly sorted now as alphabetical and then add sortable on demand later.

Grouping and filtering would be great too.
Having views grouped by the current values would be awesome (maker, release year, number produced)

Great! Thanks!!!
I see list view is working as alphabetical, but the 'collection' (image grid) view isn't sorted for me.

Awesome, thanks rhu!
I'll leave the feature request open for the possible future click sortable options, especially if other columns are added.

Re: Make collection views sortable (default to alphabetical)
While I think having the default view being the default is best, it would be nice to have it sortable by when it was added to your collection. Plus being able to sort by other fields (yet to be added) within a collection would be awesome. Especially by rank/rating. This would make the most sense in the list view.
RELATED ADDITION - Once all these fields are made available in the list view, being able to export to css (or making sure a copy/paste into a spreadsheet) would make others more comfortable about putting their time in. That way they can occasionally back up their collection in case you and the site just disappears somebody (REALLY hoping that doesn't happen).
Thanks again rhu, this is quickly becoming my primary method of cataloging my collection.

Re: Make collection views sortable (default to alphabetical)
Export buttons are a must have feature. It's your data, so you should be able to download it. I expect it will either be CSV to begin with and then xml/json after Will include links to images/scans for downloads.
Will put this to the top of the list

You sound like Google there! Thanks rhu!
When you say it will include links to images/scans, I assume that means links to images as hosted at playingcarddb.com? That's about all we can ask for since providing a dropbox like single zip download of all images for all decks we own is a bit much and would make it way to easy for somebody to scrape all the content for other purposes. I'm totally fine with just deck/collection information provided it is of all fields and a link to deck image or just deck image included would be enough for me.

Re: Make collection views sortable (default to alphabetical)
Hopefully this is looked at again now that we are on Drupal. Having a member profile setting where you can specify how your collection is sorted would be awesome. Perhaps have always available options to always sort of on the fly by title, brand then title (for those Bicycle fans), by year, etc PLUS a custom setting which could be how you allow drag/drop now. Although, super cool would be giving people buttons to help sort (programmatic sort on request to initially sort, then allow usual drag and drop). I know I would like to keep uncuts grouped together, as well as casino decks.
Not to mention by rating I gave them, which could feed into a system wide rating to see what decks are most loved by all owners in the system. Although, I would be willing to give up the new drag/drop manual sorting if a number of key system level sorts can be initiated on the fly (name, brand-name, year, etc) and then each member can say which one is the default when their collection is shown.
