Yep, the symbol provided at the end was a conglomeration of the previous three symbols of Mercury, Sulphur & Salt. What got me for a bit was that I was putting in the wrong number for Salt.

Re: Heretic cards by Lorenzo: Funded almost $65K on KS!
I was putting the wrong number in for whatever the first one was. I was adding like the big 52k number with 160 and 240 or whatever they were. I tried both of the 52k numbers. When those didn't work, I went off and googled numerology for alchemy for like 2 or 3 hours. Learned quite a lot actually but none of it helped. So then I went back and was like OHHH you use the number you ADDED to the 52k number in the first chapter not the result. And then I kicked myself.chach wrote:Yep, the symbol provided at the end was a conglomeration of the previous three symbols of Mercury, Sulphur & Salt. I kept adding them like this:
1+7+1+4+0+2+6+0=21
instead of:
017
140
260
---
417
1+7+1+4+0+2+6+0=21
instead of:
017
140
260
---
417

Haha I multiplied them initially because they were tiled on top of each other, but I got it the second time
How many of you noticed that chapter 3 was a 8x8 magic square ?

Re: Heretic cards by Lorenzo: Funded almost $65K on KS!
Yeah I'm good at spotting patterns so 3 wasn't bad. The only reason 2 was harder than it had to be was because he said that it would be easier with a Requiem deck. I'm not sure how that would make it easier. As soon as I disregarded that, I got it right away. 1st one wasn't hard. And I've already spoken about the last one.Cbkimble wrote:I thought 3 was the easiest. I don't heave the deck so I was just going by what I saw on the kickstarter images. If the kickstarter had the tuck on it then I must have missed it.Cbkimble wrote:Check out the sides of the tuck. No, you were supposed to pull the Ace of Clubs bro.
Congrats to the winners and really all that made it through. There's going to be another one after Heretic is delivered, right?

I wish I had only 3 finalists
The second heretic quest will be harder!!!
I have no idea what and how it will be, but I start to think of it.
Special thank to Mike Brohammer who helped me as Top Secret Beta-Tester for this quest.

I've created a couple in the past - have some ideas if you want things to be really fiendish, requre lateral thinking, and be plain annoying!

I was rather impressed at the number of people that crossed the finish line. I had trouble, even with Lorenzo walking me through it. Congrats to all of you who got it.
