I was thinking the same thing. especially after this next comment

If Jackson is gonna start doing display decks, then we can start seeing a definite price hike for the LEs. He's not giving decks away.

Keep in mind, the "Display" deck is basically just a tuck swap. The difference between this tuck swap and tuck swaps from other campaigns

- Tuck swaps on other campaigns are usually the LE, limited in number to encourage collectors to purchase the deck, also an economical way for the creator to have some sort of variety without having another print run.
- The display deck is not the LE and is meant to be opened, so it will most likely have a plain tuck box like the display decks for the Independence deck.
- Due to its purpose, display decks will most likely be paired up with the LE, and the two decks may not be available separately. Since it has been announced in advance that there will be display decks, you can see the display decks as a bonus/free deck that comes with the LE, or you can see it as having to pledge for two decks (so the display decks is not free, but the price you pay is split between the display decks and the LE). So like Cbkimble has stated, because the two are paired, the price will be higher for an LE.

Also, since the LE is probably limited to 1,000 like most LEs, and the minimum is 2,500, at least this way he can give away 2,000 total instead of destroying the remaining 1,500 that would otherwise not be used.

EDIT:
The LTD Army deck will be a 1000 print run and just like the the LTD Independence each LTD deck will come with a display deck as well. The LTD Editions will also come with Gilded edges from USPCC, however the display decks will NOT be gilded with gold foil but still have the LTD card sets.

Not as high priced as I thought. $30 bucks for gilded edges, unique courts, 2 decks....not too bad. $5 bucks "savings" if you get all the decks.

I think I read on Discourse that premium and LEs will have unique courts. That makes 3 unique courts, 3 completely different decks. And first gilded edges from USPCC in a bit? Seems a ton more reasonable. I think SLE2 for me also.

Or, if we has a wood box, may go for that. The sherlock box is gorgeous, but the Fed52 10 deck box I think puts em all to shame.

If Jack$on can't be bothered to come to UC to advertise his products, I can't be bothered to go and pledge.

So you don't back any project creators who don't participate here? That's kinda ridiculous.

Oh so b/c jackson got his feelings hurt and quit posting here, you won't back his projects? That better?

Yes. I think I have achieved fatigue over all things related to Jack$on. His petulant avoidance of UC has turned me off. Plus, all his stuff is beginning to look all the same to me. By the way, since when have you become so concerned with who I choose to give my money to or not?

Smart move, aiming for the patriotic American demographic with these decks. These'll sell simply for the "'muricah!". Personally, I'm not a huge fan of any military but the Premium Army deck is a nice work of art that I might grab.

I agree with sinjin on this one. It's easy to come on here with a new product that everyone loves and buys. And people sing your praises! But when Jack$on made some... IDK, greedy? Selfish? Bad? Business decisions and people called him out, POOF! When the going got tough, Jack$on got going. And that's not right! Stick it out! Fight back! At least put in your two cents! But he did none of that. It's like being a Yankees fan- it's easy to root for a team that wins so much.. try being a Cubs fan (which I'm not BTW)!

Anyway him not posting here anymore is a direct indication that he wants no part of us. So yes- Jack$on leaving this forum = less intrest in his decks, beautiful or not.

I can understand where both of you are coming from and I've got a sour taste in mouth over his actions of late as well but I'm not going to let it stop me from adding a beautiful to my collection. The main thing I'm concerned with, other than whether or not I like it, is will the deck(s) be delivered and jackson has a proven record on that count.

So... 5 decks... and we all know that after the Army, we will see 5 decks (or more...) of the Navy, the Air Force, the Marine Corps and the Coast Guard. That will be a huge success, I'm sure of that. But I'm still not sure if I will be there. And it is true that "all his stuff is beginning to look all the same" (beautiful, but not novelty anymore)... so before beginning a 25 decks serie, I will think of it twice.

It's been done before. Forget the deck name but it was an ammo can poker set. Pretty badass.

I for one think Jackson is actually doing the smart thing. He keeps cranking out decks, and they keep fly off the shelves. He has no reason or need to come here and explain himself and be berated by us. He's in the big leagues now.

Seriously nice dual presentation sets in the Independence pair Jackson. I'm looking at my presentation deck (I opened the Crown first).

The dual-ended diptychs - just awesome!

Sneak peek at the KoC, JoS, and KoS. The indices and suit indicator are in a nice tight package. It leaves a good amount of room for the art. The suit indicator looks to be large enough to distinguish the card at a distance. I can't bitch anymore. I have to shut up. Damn. :|

@Jackson - I just wanted to get your attention. Your mother also probably doesn't know what a squeezer is. I'll always keep it PG-13...
