Re: Childrens deck
I'm really liking your style! Specially on the back and pips. I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking at on the back though, is that a monster? The court cards are interesting as well. Will there be stories behind them?
Re: Childrens deck
Thank you eoghann every single pip will have a picture in so it will be lots of fun to go through each card its an owl type thing sort of mixed with my love of where the wild things are and weird seus esq creatures theres a bunch of neat things to find in the back in the sides if enough people wanted it i could add a bio to each court character and my inspiration and thoughts behind them digitally maybe in pdf form im hoping these cards make people smile and add some fun to whatever there using them for ^^
Re: Childrens deck
im struggling to make out the sketches on the red pips. it needs white or something with more contrast than the orangey yellow colour you seem to have there.
Re: Childrens deck
its really easy to see here do you have your screen too far back try tilting it foward i could use a even lighter orange but i dont think there will be problems once its printed the size will be the thing that makes it harder to see i think

Re: Childrens deck
I like your style... very interesting deck. I like that the pips have little pictures in them
You might also consider doing mini decks, since these are for children and those are much easier for them to handle.

Re: Childrens deck
thank you sher and cherrynukacola ^^ the mini deck is a great idea but i think a normal size deck would be great for children as they would like to hold a bigger card with bigger pictures as there not doing anything technical handling wise also im hoping it take adults back to there childhood too seeing somthing that spark a great memory or feeling

Re: Childrens deck
Perhaps it's because you haven't placed the illustration into the card die, but I see a ton of blank space I'm sure will disappear once you lay them out?
Re: Childrens deck
yeah there should be a lot more white space left with the pips in corner and the proper size box around it if everyone wants more space to be filled i can draw a pattern in around the courts or something around them to take up more of the space

Re: Childrens deck
Hey Zagan, i think you really need make the creatures larger so they fill up the space more. Perhaps you can go with a large creature for the kings, female creatures for the queens and maybe the smaller creatures as shown above can be the jacks?

Haha zagan i think you need to tone down on the "scariness" of the deck, you dont want to give the kids nightmares you know !
