Huh.

This doesn't happen all that often with me, but I see a lot of really good work here, I like the creativity and appreciate that the artist went out on a limb and did something very different with this deck, and yet... while I applaud these efforts and I think it's well done, it's nonetheless not appealing to me. I hope this project does well, because I like to see creativity and effort rewarded, but it's just... not for me. At least, not now.

The back is nice. I'm not a fan of the courts but I'm in for two reasons. The pip cards are amazing and $17 for 2 EBs

The suit badge is smaller than the suit index. I guess I'm suppose to read the card to find out what it is.

He sure went to town on the number cards. Interesting arrangement. I love the joker as well but the back and the courts don't appeal to me. They feel disconnected artistically from the rest of the deck.

No kidding! This is becoming a huge pet peeve of mine! Why do more and more artists insist on using words on playing cards! It will take a lot of convincing for me to believe the artists that do this aren't just lazily filling space. Furthermore it's an insult to my intelligence to think I need "jack of cubs" spelled out in order to determine what the letter J and a club pip mean the upper left corner of a playing card. Even though I like the back, this deck has no business in my collection and should have no business in the playing card world.

Ask me how I really feel...

I get college art project out of this. I don't get seasoned and cohesive. Way too much different crazy chit going on.

Anything with a Bike logo won't always work. I do like the pip cards.

I REALLY don't like the Aces. While using the words King, Queen and Jack as crowns on the courts is interesting the big sloppy wording in the middle of the courts in place of detailed artwork looks amateurish. I like the pip arrangements on the number cards.

I'm not convinced by this deck. There is a good idea behind the number cards but the courts, the aces and the joker and the back don't appeal to me...
