Your project did come out first but Dale had a preview for months of his kickstarter with that $1 chosen one pledge. But in any case I sure love those chosen pledges. That Dale pledge came to $1100 of stuff for $1. I should be getting my frame very soon nowhapaninja wrote:Actually, I believe I was the first to do a $1 tier with my Steampunk Pirate deck, which was before the metal cards, so you can all blame me for starting the fad.

I love Nat's stuff. I'm not a huge Peter Pan person, but I love the deck. It has a very story feel to the whole thing.

Really close now. The people that claim to own the rights to the words "Elder Scroll" got him tied up with lawyers, but he finally bought his way out about a month ago and sent them to production. He really couldn't do much about it until the court decided, so he caved and paid them off. Now my question is how did Shame get away with using the same thing?Strag wrote:Still awaiting my large Steampunk Pirates order or I would be backing this.

What's the difference between the green and red deck? Tuck?

Yup, it's a tuck swap. The description mentions that the LE has gold foil accents so it seems the standard tuck doesn't have this, even though the rendering of the standard tuck gives me the impression that it's foiled, too...Eoghann wrote:What's the difference between the green and red deck? Tuck?

Hook is one of my favorite childhood movies, I now wanna see it after so many years. I haven't pledged yet, I need to see more of the deck.

Like Sher, I received mine a long while ago (and I don't live as far away from Nat as Sher does!)Jock1971 wrote:I`m Still waiting for that one as well.supcomtabz wrote:Nat's Steampunk Pirates? Because I thought that shipped.
If you haven't received yours yet, you may want to ping Nat directly and ask about your shipment.

Re: Neverland Bicycle Playing Cards by Nat Iwata (KS)
I had and finally got mine sent or possibly re-sent (although I never received tracking for the first package). Took about a month of back-and-forth before I got the replacement package shipped. Received today although I haven't opened it yet. A bit concerned as it's in a standard Priority Mail Envelope and feels pretty loose. I'll take pics of everything tonight when I get home.rousselle wrote:Like Sher, I received mine a long while ago (and I don't live as far away from Nat as Sher does!)Jock1971 wrote:I`m Still waiting for that one as well.supcomtabz wrote:Nat's Steampunk Pirates? EDIT: Got home and as I feared, 3 of the 8 decks were damaged from the packaging (or lack thereof). I hope Nat is going to use a different fulfillment house as the current one isn't doing him any favours. I also wasn't thrilled with the quality of the "free" silver coins that came with the Plunder decks, although the one that I bought that was bronze finish is quite nice.

I'm not a huge fan of what's happening in the playing card market.

I guess they just wanted more money.
I also think it's funny that they didn't even change the text...
"4 Decks and 1 book later, I'm learning that there are always obstacles to overcome with Kickstarter fulfillment, be it print delays, missing addresses or natural disasters."
couldn't even replace KS with Indiegogo?

Re: Neverland Bicycle Playing Cards by Nat Iwata (KS)
It's actually kind of an experiment actually. I recently gave a talk at a gaming conference on the power of Kickstarter, and before I did so I threw the project up on Indiegogo. I haven't advertised it at all and wanted to see if it would go anywhere, but I didn't anticipate it funding since I set a fixed funding goal.
The point was to show that for cards in my case, KS is a much better funding platform, and that the community is here more than on Indiegogo. I figured if it did fund, I'd just up my order if needed with USPCC before printing starter.

That's such a charming deck. Nat's style really meshes in well with the theme. Hopefully mine will arrive soon.
