I didn't dislike the first one but have to admit that the Bicycle branded just looks "right". I am looking forward to the relaunch.

This deck looks similar to the Bicycle Bacon Lovers deck with the new backs they have now. The Bike logo does make it look better.

For my comment about the gorilla faces on numbers cards, less is more. You have a lot of people that like two way everything and nothing to be a one way. If your playing a game, some of the gorilla faces could be upside down, etc. The tuck, backs and courts are great and custom enough so maybe either just have the number cards normal or have a 2 way design if you're going to have a background on them.

I dunno, I love the gorilla faces, I find too many decks have boring number cards. It's fairly subtle and not a big issue that it's one way. Plenty of other cards in many decks have one way jokers and AoS, etc. This is a background image and adds quite a bit. Backgrounds on the number cards is one of the reason I also liked the Federal series so much, some of which were one way if you recall (including reserve note which is my all time favorite deck).

I usually don't really mind about Bicycle brand (and often even prefer the unbranded version of decks), but in this project, I think that it is better with the Bicycle logo.

I was more interested in an EPCC deck, but a USPCC deck is fine too. I really like the art and the back design is good.

And with the theme of Gorillas, maybe instead of a blue back, what about a yellow back design? Banana yellow! :)

The thing about why people prefer USPCC is that it's a parody of the classic Bicycle rider back. If it was yellow, I wouldn't back it because it's just missing the point. However, if the yellow is a second deck (stretch goal), then maybe.

Good news! The USPCC legal department just approved the design with a slight change to the spade behind the gorilla.

I was thinking brown would be a great looking 2nd color, it's not done as much. Blue and red are too basic.

Themeatically, perhaps a Silver back would work?

something like:

I think a black and yellow edition would be nice. But a traditional blue or red edition would be okay too.

What do you think about this for a second deck. Metallic inks for both colors?

Is the lilac representing the silver metallic ink? I admit just black and silver might look a little bland. So a touch of color might do it good.

The light gray will be silver and the lilac will be hopefully a metallic purple. i have to talk to the USPCC and see what they can do.

I didn't go in the first time around, just too many decks in the mix, but will Definitely be in for the Bikes. Really glad USPCC approved the gorilla rider=back. Love the Silver Back idea! I'll be waiting for this one

Brilliant idea, Joe! That's why of all us mods, you're the "smart one" :D

I agree, but on the other hand I do love the Bicycle Ghost/Tally Ho Viper feel of Joe's pic. And they're called "silver backs" after all, not "purple backs".

Mmmm I like the latest revision. Reminds me of the quicksilvers I never got. Can someone wrestle my decks out of Russell ?

I prefer white cards rather than black ones. I hope the silver/black version is not the only one being offered.

Love the look of these, but the one thing that looks odd to me (both on the original and the redesign) is the plain font choice for the front of the tuck. Any particular reason that you aren't using the same font that you are using on the side of the tuck on the front for "Gorilla" and "Silverbacks"?

@mark, I'm trying to parody the design of a regular rider back tuck case.
