Or a deck that comes with blurry glasses.

Technically speaking, any deck that is not and exact reproduction of a previous deck is one that has never been done before. Amarite?

Nothing gets by everybody here any more, that's for certain! Jay's taking a page from the "RatMan crowdfunding playbook" and teasing the obvious. If you're on the mailing list, you already know what's going to happen on Monday, because he already told you a few days ago.

I'm interested in what they'd look like if someone tried, but I don't think you need any special glasses for it cause of the shadowing.

This may be some kind of reverseable/mirror deck. On the left deck at the top, it looks like red writing and on the right deck at the top looks like white writing. The center of both decks looks like two mirror images.

A teaser like this does not pique my interest: a blurry graphic gives me no reason to be intrigued, and no one's good name is backing up that statement. Is this a D&D industry first, or a Jackson Robinson industry first? Or, perhaps, an Altius Management industry first? It makes a world of difference depending on who's saying it. "Tease" encompasses both "to tantalize" as well as "to annoy." Without more substantiation, this falls firmly within the latter definition.

Since the date matches, and the blur-o-vision tuck looks enough like the mock-up for Interlaced, I'm inclined to believe this is a teaser for Interlaced. But that's the only reason I'm paying attention to this at all. None of the announcements for Interlaced seem to mention a time of day. The email that went out June 11th just says, "We will be launching our Kickstarter page on Monday, June 16th!"

But I really agree to no end on the blurry image. I don't know if being a photographer affects me, but having an image that is anything but tack sharp simply gets on my nerves. There's no merit to do such a thing

Now that I look at the image more closely maybe it's a reprint of a vintage deck with all the bells and whistles of modern technology.

I tried with no good results in Photoshop last night. And while my mind could make up the word Legends, Bicycle and the middle looked like it could be an interlaced design, I got nothing concrete.

Could've at least eased up on the blur filter to actually give us a chance at cracking it.

Now what's Pierre's secret?

My first guess was interlaced but what I'm wondering is what is the industry first bit about?
