Upgraded my pledge for the box - I dig it. Would have been nicer if the cutout matched the orientation and size of the white mustache on the tuck boxes, but it didn't put me off purchasing!

Thanks for the input. I had actually been thinking about that and *may* change the design a bit for that very reason.

So whats up with these? Royal Optik funded a month later and they arrived a week ago. Whispering Imps funded a month later as well and they are printed and will be shipping soon.

Update #13 on August 12 says:

Sorry for the lack of updates lately - I've been extremely busy and there's not a lot of news just yet.

I'm waiting for production to be completed by USPCC and I have the acrylic materials ready to laser cut the mustaches and boxes.

I assumed this meant that they were being printed. But the next update on September 6 says:

Thanks for your continued patience! I'm still waiting for USPCC to finish the decks and will keep you posted once I have more details.

We are 2 days away from October and these cards aren't printed yet?

Looks like Mike was right about about the ridiculous fulfillment times

If I didn't know any better I'd probably think it was because of delays at USPCC, but Whispering Imps got printed ahead of schedule so printing delays are not very likely.

It has nothing to do with USPCC and almost never does. It is simply because deck creators don't get off their asses and have the decks printed. I am sick & tired of all the complaints about KS decks taking forever. Stop backing people who take forever to deliver their decks and this won't happen!!!

Well ive tried getting in touch with him for replacement polaris decks, initially he responded asking for pics etc, he said he would only send me replacements if i sent him the decks back or pay him $10 for the two damaged decks. Well i gave in and said ill pay for the replacement decks (something i have never done before, but agreed since international shipping was crazy), then communication stopped there, its been more than a week since ive last heard from him.

Almost a month and a half since the last update. Seeing posts that people are still waiting for their Polaris deck. Seriously David, until you can figure out how to complete one of these campaigns in a timely manner, stop creating new ones. I figured by the third go at this he would've gotten a handle on things. Obviously I was wrong. David, at least have the decency to update your backers a little more frequently. Based on some of your previous updates, I'm guessing I know why you don't update more...

The Vanda FB page hasnt been active since the Bacon deck failed on KS. Really disappointed with David. I know that he usually takes forever to ship internationally, but if no one in even in the US has gotten the decks, it really isnt looking good for us international backers

Did anyone who ordered one of the acrylic boxes get theirs, yet? I asked for a refund via Kickstarter but he hasn't responded. I've messaged him three times. I found his Facebook but I don't want to invade his public space with a complaint and bring all this drama over from Kickstarter.

Oh please he hasn't responded to my comments since the Polaris campaign, I've got damaged decks on both campaigns, it's going to be a matter of time before people start knocking on his door. A little busy at the moment, but I'll start knocking soon

That's why we started the Hall of Shame, folks: if Polaris isn't in there, it ought to be. A lot of people never got their rewards and David G is hard to find. I've seen him over on Facebook but I don't think he's been around here since about the time the project ended.

After repeatedly asking (politely) for a refund, I finally got a response from David:

Hi Shermaine,

I apologize for the delay! I've been completely swamped and am finally catching up with messages and shipments. Unfortunately I cannot offer a refund since the materials for your box were already purchased and the box was already laser cut and assembled. However, your package is shipping out tomorrow with my next group of outgoing mail and should arrive soon.

Yeah, it's supposed to be black. I hadn't removed the tape yet. I just took a quick shot of it for the sake of the post. I will update with more pics later
