Sweet! I've always loved the KEM arrow design, but never had any reason to pay that much for a plastic deck.

Dear Wayne,
Although our relationship has been (in general) strong and steady over the past decades, I no longer feel you and I see “eye to eye”. Although it pains me to say this, I think we should see other people…I need someone who is more financially responsible and can grow with me and my needs.. not reduce my quality of life…I hope you find another who shares your same interests...good luck Wayne..
Love
Mr. Wallet..
P.S… I will always remember the good times when we used to “save” together…

Not that I don't like this one, but I'm more excited for the Tally-Ho Turtlebacks.

Re: Crimson Arrow by Kings Wild
This design looks really good. It´s busy but not too busy like the original KEM back design.
Now please add some kings wild courts, 2 identical jokers and a gaff card
Any ideas of the stock so far? plastic or paper?

We won't know for sure until Jackson chimes in, but I see no reason why these would be plastic. If you wanted plastic cards that look like this, why buy anything else that actual KEMs? And why would Jackson make a deck that competes with KEMs? Pretty sure it'll be paper.

These will be paper for sure. I'm shooting for these to possibly be one of my first "test the waters" for the first Kings Wild "staple" deck. I'm shooting for an $8ish price range on Kickstarter.

Re: Crimson Arrow by Kings Wild
The main focus for the Scarlet Arrows is to be a great deck with 100% custom courts for a great price. So the tuck case needs to reflect that focus in order to keep the price down.Norbie wrote:Is this the final design for the tuck? You're not going minimaallllisssssmmm?
And Heck I need to change up my decks anyways.
With that said, you didn't really think I would design a deck and not have a uber limited, uber ridiculous tuck case now did you? There will be one of those as well.

I think that tuck compliments the cards perfectly. And that this is an excellent choice for a staple deck at a very nice price point.

It's a lovely look along with custom courts, we're already buying without seeing the actual cards.

Re: Crimson Arrow by Kings Wild
Sadly for me (cuz I love ridiculously belled and whistled tucks) and also for the consumer my tucks usually account for no lower than 75% even up to 90% of the total cost of production. So you can see why I stick with a simple, but hopefully still visually pleasing tuck.Norbie wrote:JacksonRobinson wrote:The main focus for the Scarlet Arrows is to be a great deck with 100% custom courts for a great price. Food for thought:
Makes you think why some people will give you a simply and also crapply designed tuck and still charge you $12 on KS. I hope that this deck can really set a precedent that you can have a great deck and also a reasonable price on KS.

Re: Crimson Arrow by Kings Wild
Its not so much about a specific price point only the price comparatively. It honestly comes down to capitalism, when it comes down to I want to compete with the big boys and having a great deck with custom courts for around $8 would be a great way to start competing, while at the same time having more expensive decks for collectors.
In terms of the price 90% of KS projects through a price tag of $12 on their decks just cuz thats what everybody does. I want to shake things up and show people that you can get a great deck for a good price and at the same time be a profitable venture for myself, cuz I wouldn't do it if I couldn't come out on top of the deal, that's how KS scams are born.

Re: Crimson Arrow by Kings Wild
I fully agree that having a good price set-point is a great way to "compete with the big boys". I already have my cards at a competitive price point and even then I invest my own money to get projects done. For example, my early bird price was $8 a deck (and even then I didn't sell all of those). My regular price was $11 for 1 deck but most people want the twin pack which starts at $20 ($10 a deck). So, I'm already competitive in the price category... now I just need to improve my quality. Luckily, the after KS market is just as strong if not stronger or otherwise I would be living in the poorhouse. Anyway, for you, the $8 price would be profitable because you have a such a huge fan-base. I bought your Holmes edition on KS and it was serial # 2535... which tells be your other editions probably sold just as well. I'm lucky to sell 900 decks (on KS) between two editions and still manage to do it at a competitive price. So, you should have no problem making it a profitable venture and competing with the big boys. Take no offense, but to many of on KS you are one of the big boys.JacksonRobinson wrote:Its not so much about a specific price point only the price comparatively. Re: Crimson Arrow by Kings Wild
Just to chime in, there is definitely space (and a need) for "regular" decks at a decent price. I think Jackson is spot on with what he is doing, and I also am mixing it up and have something similar in process. Nice, custom, well handling decks but inexpensive compared to all the super-collectible high end. Simpler boxes, and a deck that you could use in a magic routine and not feel guilty about ripping up a card now and then. I think plenty of folks will appreciate that.
