Re: Sherlock Holmes - Moriarty Edition Reprint - Playing Car
Yes, it's available for all backers now. We got a lot of request from first time backers asking for the V1 Moriarty and others asking for the ability to purchase more than 1 deck. A slight difference between the one for repeat backers and one for all backers is that the one for all backers have a 2$/deck charge on each deck. We just can't be giving it all away . It's a little bit extra for international shipping, but it's fair.wwpierce wrote:So..it was originally for Repeat backers only.. and now it's for everyone? Am I correct?
As for being able to purchase 3 decks for repeat backers, yes. It involved a lot of back end stuff in BackerKit but there's no simple way to make a single item with a lot of variables in it. BackerKit is a great and complex system, but it wasn't built with that in mind. I can't create an item that at first cost X amount for specific tiers and then cost X+ 2$ for the next item only for International backer while domestic still has it at X $.

Mine is also $8...? But I'm domestic, not international. I think the $2 applies to international.

Just re-checked... and its $10!!!volantangel wrote:Well its all $8 for me, did you see wrongly ?sms69x wrote:The difference is that the one for repeated backers costs only $8, and the other goes for $10... Re: Sherlock Holmes - Moriarty Edition Reprint - Playing Car
For all domestic backers, it's 8$/deck. For repeat international backers, the first 1 (that's available exclusively to repeat backers) is 8$, while the one available to all backers is 10$ (2$ extra for shipping).volantangel wrote:Well its all $8 for me, did you see wrongly ?sms69x wrote:The difference is that the one for repeated backers costs only $8, and the other goes for $10... Re: Sherlock Holmes - Moriarty Edition Reprint - Playing Car
Well, I think this is a win-win situation since some non-repeat backers have expressed interest in getting the special v1, and there is probably a bunch of v1s that can't be sold on the website since it was decided that the v1s would be exclusive to the first Sherlock KS. And repeat backers don't lose out since they get the advantage of ordering a max of 3 instead of 2.
Re: Sherlock Holmes - Moriarty Edition Reprint - Playing Car
First I understand that this is nightmare for Jackson..the logistics, etc.. However, I look at it more like a "kind of" win-win...If I was a first time backer of V2, of course I would be interested in a Special Edition Deck that was initially set up for those who stuck through the oops of V1 and backed V2. My question is.. if the intention is to never sell the V1 on the website..why not offer the repeat backers the V1 deck (limited to 2) and keep the Special Edition for the V1/V2 backers?...Why offer the Special Edition to the newbies? Either way you are reducing the V1 stock..Sher wrote:Well, I think this is a win-win situation since some non-repeat backers have expressed interest in getting the special v1, and there is probably a bunch of v1s that can't be sold on the website since it was decided that the v1s would be exclusive to the first Sherlock KS. I for one am not taking advantage of the ability to get 3 so that there will be more for other folks. I think Jackson is doing very well through this crazy circumstance and I think it was Moriarty's plan all along to have 3 decks, albeit sorta the same, 3 different variations. That Moriarty is a mastermind!

I thought about multiple decks but since I'm only getting one of each of the other decks, I'll stick with one and have a full set.

Saw that. It's nice, but what I REALLY want is to get The Independence decks in time for July 4th.

Dude, that was the 1st crappy deck I ever got from Kickstarter. Your collection is better off without them. I think I got mine because I only ordered one deck with no add-ons.I'm getting these faster than those Alice of Wonderland decks... Which finished printing months ago.

These darned things were on sale on ebay long before anybody got fulfillment, and I bet it was to make enough money to cover the shipping, which probably hasn't happened yet, just my guess. AiW decks are not that great, I don't own any but I've seen them. They obviously cut corners to get them made, also.Magic_Orthodoxy wrote:Dude, that was the 1st crappy deck I ever got from Kickstarter. Your collection is better off without them. Re: Sherlock Holmes - Moriarty Edition Reprint - Playing Car
Not to derail this thread, but you don't need to bet or assume on that. The dude has stated many times that it's exactly what he's doing. Trying to sell individual decks online and making the rounds to local comic conventions trying to sell decks to raise money to pay to ship out remaining decks. If anyone needs to be added to a Hall of ashamed it's the guy that ran that project. In the last update he also alluded to having familial / breakup issues that affected his bank balance.Mike Ratledge wrote:These darned things were on sale on ebay long before anybody got fulfillment, and I bet it was to make enough money to cover the shipping, which probably hasn't happened yet, just my guess. Got my reprint decks today. Interesting to compare two decks from different print runs. Deeper blacks and a slight blue shift on the faces. The backs are about the same. YMMV.

Re: Sherlock Holmes - Moriarty Edition Reprint - Playing Car
Got my decks in today, weren't the special edition V1 decks supposed to be signed? Or maybe I'm just blind, cause they have the special foil KW sticker on them, but no signature as was indicated in Jackson's earlier post. Am I missing something or is this a "WTF Mate?" situation?

For those who got the Special Edition V1 deck, did anyone get theirs hand signed? I got my deck, but it wasn't hand signed and the only thing that sets it apart from the regular V1s is a small sticker.JacksonRobinson wrote:I have created a special silver foil seal with the Kings Wild Treasury Seal on it. I will be giving ALL International backers a FREE Special Edition hand signed V1 Errored Moriarty Deck with this special seal on it.
For all Domestic Backers I will be offering to them the chance to purchase either a Special Edition hand signed V1 Moriarty Deck or a V2 Moriarty deck for only $8 so that they have the same opportunity as the International backers.
The Special Edition V1 hand signed will be limited to 1 deck per person.
