No, they haven't, but CARC has them available in that brick set - only. I suppose they will eventually sell some of the blue and purple ones, but for now you can only get those in the brick deal - unless it has changed in the past couple of days - I just looked myself over the weeend.PrincessTrouble wrote:Have the blue and purple Owl Eyes been released?

Would you be willing to show any additional photos of the Blue Blood Redux Uusi box? I've wanted to get a box made by Uusi for a while, and I would really love to see as much of one of their works as possible. Thanks!

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
Got a few deliveries from the USPS today, quite a nice haul. Steampunk Pirates, Sherlock decks, Connie Lims Fashion Deck (haven't opened but I'm really looking foreword to seeing how her art translated to the cards.) and a Whist deck from the National Card Co "Indianapolis & New York." Haven't had a chance to research (I say that a lot) so, Mike, what'd a ya got on it?
Also, got the Panda & Luchadore decks in the other day along with Joker uncut sheet. I like the panda deck, creates some nice looking fans, the Luchadore I wish I only got one of instead of two. But still those two are less than one deck from most other places.

Oh and if you think any of those are rare or a nice score, then check this out. CCI mini mags .22 long rifle. Rare as hens teeth these days. I got them as a karma giveaway. Talk about happy days.
Maybe I'll have to pass on the karma here with a free deck giveaway... Stay tuned.

Adding on some info: It's just a different back. The v1 White Rabbit has a blue background with white lines, and the v2 has a white background with black lines.Strag wrote:They added the white version for the NOTW project since the blue was not to be reprinted. Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
Oddly enough, up until a few weeks ago, Blue Blood (the original) was the only Uusi deck I owned!
I believe I purchased it from BMP...
...from the previous owners of this site.
I liked the deck so much (especially the joker) that I Googled "Uusi", found their web site and, through its Contact page, began a long correspondence with Linnea.
I loved the Bohemia and Royal Optik deck on their site, but only got around to purchasing them a few weeks ago. I also pledged on their Pagan KS project, and so, should be receiving the two Pagan decks (and the Diptych print/poster) soon.
So the BB Redux is their only title to date which I do NOT have (although I only have the LE Editions of the Bohemia and Royal Optik, and none of the gilt decks)!

This "one-way" indexes are made on purpose for magicians.
other CARC decks do have this feature as well (Skull and Bone & Legends Decks).
You can do miracles with that kind of indexes (spotting the chosen card from a face up spread etc.)
Those indexes have a special name - i just can´t remember it.![Crying or Very Sad ](./images/smilies/icon_cry.gif)

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
I had to do some research on this one, slightly confused at first: the Joker looks like the one in NU10 "Columbia #133" (all numbers are from the Hochman's Encyclopedia) and the AoS looks like NU19 "National Club" but it turns out they match up in NU15 "National Whist #125" and it's not unusual to see the jokers hop around in the early National decks. You're the proud owner of a 1890's deck that is in very good to excellent condition! Unfortunately they made an awful lot of that particular one, and I'm going to go $30-$40 in that condition. I have a National Columbia #134 which isn't in there at all, and Tom can't seem to explain the why or what for it, seems to be the only one he's seen and the AoS in that deck doesn't match any other National deck. The thing is that when USPCC bought them a lot of times the same deck was re-issued with USPCC AoS in the same deck and the words "Russell and Morgan Factory" replaces the "National Indianapolis"...etc wording. Those are generally around 1900-1910, and both are listed as NU15, but yours is clearly the first type - 1890's. Once in a while certain Longley decks overlap the same joker or AoS in a National deck, also - it gets confusing... Nice find!chach wrote:... and a Whist deck from the National Card Co "Indianapolis & New York." Haven't had a chance to research (I say that a lot) so, Mike, what'd a ya got on it?
That's not really that unusual either (to find something previously not listed), if you look at the Hochman's Supplement and Price Guide (sometimes called just "Part 2" it has examples of 18-20 'new' (very old) decks that were found in the 10-year period between when Tom consolidated the original 7 Hochman pieces into one volume in the mid 90's and when he came out with the price guide in 2004. That's why he added "Supplement" to the title which was supposed to just be a pricing guide for vintage and antique decks. I've given some thought to perhaps getting together with Tom and Judy and producing a new Supplement and updated pricing guide that includes most of the modern/contemporary decks and adds more color and some of the back designs to the original and consolidated version, simply because it's often easier to ID a deck by the back instead of the AoS and/or Joker(s) - which there weren't any of until about 1880's for the most part. I suppose I'll put it on our topic list for the 2014 convention in October.

A pretty subtle one-way, actually. Highly unlikely to be spotted by a non-magician, non-cardist (like myself) during the course of a rapidly-executed card trick.

I'm thinking the Bicycle Panda deck has repeating courts. Also the Green Label deck looks like the Eco deck, just with a different back.

New arrivals today:Celtic decks from the Culturan KS project, an ancient but mint deck of Pinochle Squeezers (1895-1900 or so) and a Bicycle "Irregular" deck.

You evidently totally gave up taking a photograph of them (that's a scan, right?)

No, wait: is that a reflection of you and the camera on the Tendril and Deck One?

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
I've got Donna doing my eBay trolling now, so I am starting to see things roll into the post office like crazy! I had so many things show up today that I will have to split it in two pieces, and still two posts (three?) per day. Here's today first day's worth of posts:
As Jace would say - some fine mint Waddy decks! First a pair of 1930-ish "Cir-Q-Lar" decks, 1950-something "Zulu" deck and a pair of fine art single decks from the late 60's or early 70's (these are all mint/sealed, with tax stamps except the last pair, which means they are made after '65). "1 Pack" stamps were late 40's until 1965, those 10 cent stamps were 1920's and 30's, I'm pretty sure. I don't have my cheat-sheet handy. Cir-Q-Lar decks came out in 1929 in the US, and those are USPCC tax stamps, even though they were available a few years before that in Britain. I have another pair of them in mint/unsealed condition on the way, so we can take a peek inside.

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
Next up some "Mericun decks, and some Piatnik comparisons in styles and ages. First up a couple of "Marguerite #130" decks by Andrew Dougherty, about 19-teens, maybe early 20's. Next up a couple of Hawai'i souvenir decks - one slightly - umm - under-dressed, yeah, that's the ticket. Next up a couple of the Piatniks from postage-stamped sized pair of decks to a pair of "patience" sized deck to a single oversized Skat deck. You could put 6 of those little decks in the space of a single bridge deck! Compare them to the single Kraken poker size deck. Finally, a "Detroit Athletic Club" deck from New York Consolidate Card Co, about 1920's (Hochman NY68 "Sterling Whist #196). Again, the deck is not sealed but for all practical purposes it looks unplayed, as close to mint as it can be unsealed. Not bad for roughly 80 years old!

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
Next up a few odds and ends: first an Afrocentric deck - I got 3 of them, that's truly different than any I've ever seen and has the best explanation of playing cards I've ever read - basically in layman's terms that anybody can understand, not just "us" collectors, followed by a pair of Aristocrat decks from the 50's that is pretty similar to the "bookend" set I showed a couple of months ago, thanks to Victor for pointing it out for me! There's one of the decks by themselves and one of the 3D perspective of the open 'snap case' with the tax stamps visible, and finally a "lot" of 6 decks all either "ARRCO", 'magic decks' and a "Centaur" with a Scottish Tartan (don't know which clan) and the reverse side of 4 of those, all except the ARRCO decks which are packaged unlike any I've ever seen before - pretty much in plain cardboard hanger type display decks.
OK, done for now, I'll get the rest of the booty tomorrow and take a few more pix as well. Kem bakelite pair in mint condition, a brick of multi-color Tally Hos from Aloys Studio, a few "Enardoe" magic decks, and several more...

Nope, nope. I just have a helping hand manning the battle stations, now. She's enjoying the heck out of it and has a gleam in her eyes when I get home if she's been to the post office. I'm certainly not going to complain!Eoghann wrote:Well someone's put collecting on hyperdrive! Have you won the lottery and not told us about it, boss? Them some fine treasures you've got there.
