Decent looking deck at a decent price. $25 for two is more than fair. I can dig it.

I like how the back design looks so far. My only issue is that its so severely black and white. I would suggest just a tiny discreet hint of color (antique gold) in the circular design in the center. I'm really liking the custom courts and pips, I'm definitely going to back this project. Maybe its just me, but the Memento deck kind of has a Pedale flavor to it.

I second this motion. Gold, silver, SOMETHING. That would turn an A- to an A+

Like the design and illustrations, tend to agree with others it needs a color (gold here too) to kick it over the top. Would mean the difference to me of picking up a brick or half-brick versus one or two decks.

Why not try a swap. Fill in the suits on the white back and white them out on the black back.

Thank you everyone for your comments.

For the colors, I contacted bycicle to send me some examples of metal Ink and embossed tuck. If it's not too expancive (I've heard it is) I will think of something like that.

Thank you all,
And again sorry for my english! :)

On a side note, I didn't know you could show rough drafts of KS projects to get feedback before they begin. Way cool and very useful! Beautiful deck, Valerio! Now THIS is how to do a minimalistic deck the RIGHT way!!

Looks nice, they remind me of the Misc. Goods decks.

Looks good but I think the Jack looks too ordinary/standard. You have courts like King David, Rachel, and then just a Jack.

I like the way this deck is shaping up. Way to go!

I'll likely be backing for a pair (one of each color back) and I'll likely raise that if metallic inks become part of the project.

I'm liking it very much! Like the four indices layout (I'm a lefty!).

But I think that you should put the four indices on the courts too. Otherwise it seems a little odd. Not bad or wrong, just odd!!
Keep the great work.

Hello everyone!

First let me introduce myself, I'm Antonios and I'm working with Valerio on this deck. It's been a great pleasure following your comments on this thread and the one in the draft category.

It's great to see the positive reception for this deck. My question here now is quite specific. Valerio and I have been pondering over what kinds of rewards to offer beyond the ones we've put up on our draft project page (Uncut Sheet, and Decks themselves).

We feel that any reward should in some way relate to the deck or enhance the experience as a whole.

One idea that I would like to run past this community is an idea based on the work of someone near to where I live in the UK. This guy makes little metal figures such as those in the picture below. I thought it may be an interesting reward to have a 'deck holder' made up of these figures, where they would stand in a way to hold up the deck upright.

Alternatively or perhaps together with the above, extra figures could be made to reflect some of court cards by holding some of the iconic objects associated with each character and depicted on the card, for instance King David, and his Harp and Goliath's Sword.

Hope it's clear.

It'd be great to get a reaction on these ideas plus anything else you guys would like to see in the rewards we offer with this project. :)

Antonios

Its reasonable to assume that people who buy your decks will want some way to display your decks, so any stretch goals or add ons that do that is always welcome. I'm not so sure about those figurines however, screws and bolts don't really match your design theme. You should consider a custom brick box and half brick box for 12 and 6 deck pledges. Maybe an acrylic display for individual decks. If you paid attention to any of Uusi's campaigns, the storage boxes Peter makes with special woods are highly sought after. You should also do a coin.

I agree with Sinjin, these nuts and bolts arent the way forward for you. But other add-ons like coins etc might work in your favour

I'll echo the suggestion of a cover coin. I really like the heavy, 2-inch coins like those offered by Jackson Robinson in his campaigns, or Randy Butterfield's Imperial project.

I agree, the nut and bolt figures look like something we see at flea markets. The KS creators seem to be doing well with wood boxes and lesser priced two-deck boxes (see the black and gold Emperor boxes) coins, and chips- and I like sinjin's idea of custom brick boxes.

Hmmm... sign me up for a mixed half-brick! You should add a early bird for the six pack also.. or else I'm gonna have to make multiple accounts :(

Also, after reading the other comments, I do agree with others in that I think gold foil on the white card backs and silver foil on the black would look absolutely stunning and push this deck over the top!
